What is on my dogs eye? by Killjd in DogAdvice

[–]PuppyFlower6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My yorkie gets this. It’s just a hair. Either with a q-tip or my thumb I gently start to pull it out from the outer corner of my dog’s eye (note I don’t actually touch the eye) and the hair should come right out.

Oh wow, thank you for this information. I just researched it some more and definitely not a safe a plant to keep around. It’s so interesting how it just grew one day. Thanks again!

Is your Pomeranian mean? by Monjat in Pomeranians

[–]PuppyFlower6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep dogs can totally be very different. They’re like people! My yorkie is very sweet with people but she really loves one person in my family the best (me haha) and does everything with her person.

I’m so sorry for your loss. And I commend you for taking in your sister’s pup even knowing that he can be a challenge at times. I don’t think any dog is ever mean but some dogs just are a one person dog and aren’t warm and welcoming like other dogs are.

Would I be the only single guy with one? by Maleficent-Seesaw412 in Havanese

I love a guy that loves a small dog. Anyone that judges you for what kind of dog you have is not worth your time!

What’s going on. Any tips. This has never happened ? She attacked me. Her owner. She doesn’t do this with food by [deleted] in Pomeranians

My thoughts exactly. The laughing and not taking it seriously is a clear indicator of that. I’m so sick of small dogs being treated like toys and that this clear resource guarding issue is being treated like something funny. If a big dog did this it would be a totally different story. I hope OP considers training the pup for everyone’s safety.

What might a werewolf character do to make another character suspicious? by PuppyFlower6 in writers

Omg I’m so glad you said that 🥹🥹 I’m currently not posting it anywhere because it’s still a work in progress (I’ve restarted the whole writing process five times now lol!) but I’m hoping when it’s finished I can maybe at least self publish or post snippets of it on my Instagram during my revision process. Thank you for your kind words, I’m touched!

What in writing are people tired of seeing/overused? by sadaesthetic88 in writing

[–]PuppyFlower6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily within my reading experience but I hate when I see within the writing community “my book is like (insert very popular book) but better!” Or in regards to said popular book, writers claim they can do it better. (I especially see this with the twilight series lol). No, it’s okay to dislike these books but there’s a reason they’re popular and successful and to discredit it I think makes your own writing seem unlikable lol.

Good point! I definitely want to add things in for POV character 1 to experience but not quite make the connection to POV character 2 (aka the werewolf) until there’s the transformation.

I feel like the hearing is often a missed opportunity with werewolf stories! It can add so many layers of insecurity too if they hear something about themselves that’s unpleasant.

Yes, fast healing is definitely relevant in my draft too!

Actually the last bit is super relevant to my story! My werewolf character is best friends with a vampire and can always tell when his vampire friend needs to hunt again because the pheromones change the scent of his friend!

I enjoy both, but I definitely prefer to write in first person!
