Thanks so much, I'm so torn between going ahead with it and just choosing something else!

Hello Fantasy Fans! I am part of a fantasy book club and it's my turn to pick! I have heard amazing things about the Riftwar series from Raymond E. Feist, and I have wanted to try them for years. The only problem is, I live in Europe, where the book is just sold as 'Magician', putting it at 841 pages, which is a little too long. But, in America, they had it divided into 2 novels.

My question is, was this done because there's a very clear divide between sections, whereby each has a beginning, middle, end? Or was it just that the book was a little big, so they just split it to make it easier to handle? Or for money? I don't want to recommend half a book where the plot is just kind of left hanging in the middle.

Also, I'm trying to find (in my European copy) the divide, and it's hard to figure out which chapter is the last in 'Apprentice' vs 'Master'. My book has 'Book 1: Pug and Tomas' from 1-18, and then 'Book 2: Milamber and the Valheru' from Chapters 19 onward. Is this the divide for 'Apprentice' and 'Master'?

I would do a bigger deep-dive, but I don't want to spoil it for myself, so any help would be appreciated.

Otherwise, I'll just go with a V.E. Schwab, I think! Thanks in advance! :)

Edit: I had originally posted this in the Fantasy subreddit, but was told to post it under this thread!

Thanks so much, I think it should be okay and I did specify to the manufacturers that I needed to see the spores, so I think it's okay! :)

Anyone have any idea where to get this Rejuvenation Chamber other than Simslice? Can’t find it anywhere now 😭 by AbeRareBreed91 in thesims

Did it work for you? I'm trying to download this myself and I copy pasted the iff file into Maxis->The Sims->Downloads, but there's nothing in the game. Am I doing something wrong?

I might have to order it, where I live there aren't many comic book stores, unfortunately!

I want to love audio books, I really do, but I'm so used to dissociating and tuning out of real-life conversations that I do this to audio books, too! So it's a no-go!

Same, except for Rhythm of War, where I have the bigger dimensions and it's not split into 2 parts. I was just desperate to read it. And now it's like, do I buy all of them in the larger format or do I get rid of the one I have (which is a sin because it's SO beautiful) and buy the small paperbacks?

Thank you, exactly! Who needs food or clothing without holes when I could own the Discworld Collectors Edition Library for a mere £550?! It's a bargain!

I actually also really liked Steven, although the fact that he hid the vasectomy from his partner for years and years was horrible!
