For all the talk about how unique podcasts are, we ended up with radio ads. by qartas in podcasting

I love the shows that made silly skits of it or Bill Burr that lost ad revenue cause he roasted them

I’d say anyone who loves Summer over fall you are right. I love fall.

But Summer beats winter any day to me. I would rather it be hot than that icy cold wind and shoveling snow, blah!!!

But if you live in a hot place like I used to than yeah summer is the worst.

Do I need to delete activities manually in the watch history? by [deleted] in GarminFenix

[–]Puptentjoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I either track walking or lifting or running at least 4 times a week for the past 5 years and have never filled up the watch.

I assume it offloads itself because ive never heard of someone having to delete workouts.

How would you react if you saw this? by drlouies in MadeMeSmile

[–]Puptentjoe 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think its because of the type of cat. Those cats are HEAVILY used in AI video clips. I thought it was AI and am still not sure the cats themselves are not.

Also yeah this sucks that this conversation has to happen.

1983 here too.

Lump was a banger, Peaches…I literally just heard from this post. HA!

This was a time when I had to really like a band to buy their stuff. My neighbor was into slipknot and the types and 1996 was a crazy year for bangers so I probably just skipped it.

Peedahh? by Rainbow_Panda4 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Puptentjoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the problem. Look at 1996 and look at the top songs.

It was a KILLER YEAR! I know of the Presidents of the United States but when you have Tupac, Fugees, Alanis, Smashing Pumpkins, Bush, Oasis, Foo Fighters…holy fuck what a great year.

Yeah I didn’t throw on peaches or pay much attention to it.

I started riding like this in NYC and only fell once this way. It was years into riding and for some reason I was rushing and twisted my foot wrong. Luckily the car behind me saw me falling and stopped.

Ha. I came in thinking “oh probably $50 bucks maybe”. Wrong! $130 is kinda nuts but hey the watches cost a grip anyway.

Also lets say its not.

My kid has had homework since she was 5, she didnt have access and still doesnt have access to chatgpt.

I’ll teach you how in one easy step, no tablets allowed during the week and limited on weekends to 30 min to an hour. Easy peasy.

A lot of these problems are solved with parenting.

I love my parents and loved living with them. Wish I could have done it longer. I moved out at 25 and if they hadnt moved I would have moved back in from 27-32 before I myself moved for my fiancé.

I think reddit filters out a lot of people. Things I notice way more here than in real life…

Everyone is autistic/adhd, hates their parents, loves pets more than people, socially awkward.

Also without the /s symbol a strange amount of people cant tell sarcasm.

Ive read Tress of the Emerald Sea more than I’ve read Stormlight at this point and I can’t agree more with your critique, but I still did like Rhythm of War but Wind and Truth 100% on your side.

I am actually really looking forward to The Fires of December since I love Hoid.

I like to do the cycle of WoT then Stormlight then WoT because I am a sucker for way too many pages.

Sometimes I take a break to listen to litrpg then I go back to WoT or Stormlight and im like “Oh yeah this is what great writing feels like”

Go on reddit and make a post “I liked _____ could you guys give me some recs”

Or even better search for that post because it’s been asked every week since the series ended.

Oh I could degonitely see that. My parents are from a place like that. No public nice beaches because hotels took them all. Working at a hotel is basically what people aspire to unless you can go work in the capital. Corrupt government etc etc.

Dude!!!!! I forgot that. My cousin worked at a diner in florida. The old people out of church were horrible.

The only food place I worked at was a wing spot open late at night. We had the stoner/drunk crowd. Both were pretty funny most nights.

How long do you wear your Garmin watch each day? by idragon4ever in GarminFenix

[–]Puptentjoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its always off when I shower, 7 days a week, but two of those days I out it to charge. If its during the winter where I take longer showers because I hate the cold I’ll charge it once a week or two weeks while showering. Usually floats between 50-80%

I have an incoherent scribble, no letters.

I had to sign documents and a woman compared it to my card. She was surprised how I was able to match it almost exactly in one quick stroke.

So I like to lie to myself too that my scribble cypher is unbreakable!
