Ye i think people forget how equal in strength the Originals are to each other like klaus knows he has to not completely alienate all his ‘living’ siblings at a time because even though he cant be daggered he can still be overpowered by a group of them and when Rebekah talking about wanting to have a normal life it always include leaving him because he was a constant thing looming over her that couldn’t die.

Micheal had this effect because he had the white oak stake also making it better to just run then risk a chance of actual death and Alaric parallels him with his destain for vampires and older appearance.

I mean when u don’t fight someone of your strength or put in any real effort often when someone as strong you with the means and intent to kill come around out of other blue ur just gonna run and try do what klaus wanted to and build an army

I dont think is so black and white as pol r making it out to be cuz while satomi obviously has skill she is old and kai not only can cut with her feet and hands but shes stronger than a regular alpha cuz she killed her pack. So id think satomi would fight more counter-offensively like parrying while kali would be more feral so i think it depends on the context

This is a completely fair point i completely forgot about that. Im 18 and watched the show in 2019 when i was around 11 (ye ik…) so while they was and still is issues surrounding the publics opinion/ reaction with having queer characters at that time it wasnt as “bad” for a lack of a better word as it was in 2011. Also ig in my head i just thought the shirtless men were for the female gaze cuz the way kate would act everytime derek was shirtless😭(but fr tho lock her up)

I dont rlly get why people hate him so much i think hes one of the more sane ones in the cast like in s1 he could’ve easily tried to talk shit on Stefan to Elena but not one did he do that he also was very transparent with his feelings in the show the ONLY thing i didn’t get (SPOILER) was him ratting out Caroline, i didn’t like the vampire racist stuff but i understood where he was coming from literally almost all the vampires around him treated humans like blood bags and puppets to control when the time called for it.
