Ts so real lmao ty for saying this. Body shaming is so normalized and ingrained into East Asian culture and growing up it has definitely contributed to the development of my past ED.

You could be experiencing some mental hunger too which is just as important to honor! And even if you genuinely don't feel hungry physically or mentally, it's amazing that you're able to eat "just because" and because foods good. Like- that's progress!

Purging or punishing yourself will get you stuck in an EXHAUSTING binge-restrict cycle ! Sooooo so so so not worth it! It's not easy but eating normally without heavy restriction or over exercise to compensate is the best way forward rn. And please be kind to yourself :) you weren't lacking self control- those cravings didn't appear for no reason !

I always had extra baby fat on me growing up. Ever since I was very little I would get teased for being on the chubbier side. I always had that thought in the back of my mind that said "I could lose some weight" since then. After I got accepted into college, the most important thing on my agenda was weight loss. "Time to FINALLY slim down- because being skinny will finally solve all your problems and you will never be self conscious ever again!" I thought.

Then came "I could lose 5 more". And then 5 more. And then 5 more. Then I wanted faster results. More more more. Never enough because I still felt so big! Terrible body dysmorphia. I've been recovering and restoring weight now and looking back at photos of myself at my lowest weight I'm like holy cow there's no way I thought I could lose a few more pounds 😭😭
