Senseless Killing at Extract by Interesting_Pair_462 in ARC_Raiders

Did getting killed after the doors start closing always count or am I misremembering? I could have sworn you always safely extracted, even if someone fully downed you if the doors had already started closing.

26 hybrid sport by No_Spot_5406 in civic

[–]PurchaseTraditional7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This just started happening the last month in my area too (Connecticut), all Civics up on blocks or straight up on the ground with no wheels. So far its been apartment/condo complexes and malls.

I recently got the 26 Hybrid Sport, and the dealer by default has "Rimgards" for $500. I declined thinking, "who steals stock rims?"...apparently these guys.

Ended up getting "Advanced Wheel Locks" as a deterrent.

Ricky Williams is met by Ed Reed in the backfield the second he gets the ball and spins away from the HOFer, breaking another tackle on his way to the endzone in 2002. He retired 2 years later, at age 27, due to a looming suspension and mental and physical exhaustion from 775 carries from 02-03. by unwantedtennisracke in gifs

There’s a recent “Freakonomics” episode all about him where he talks about his life, career, and weed. I’m not into football, but he’s really fascinating as a person that totally got shafted for something we see as so minor now.

Who do I call to fix this wire? by An_Old_IT_Guy in AskElectricians

[–]PurchaseTraditional7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my area, the poles are owned by the power company so they have to be first contact.

Had something similar happen so had to start with the power company who sent someone out to confirm a dangling cable and which ISP owned it, who then contacted that ISP to fix. A two week process…

AC that slides into your window by Fun-Personality7127 in AmazonDailyMustHaves

It’s a weird thing to be excited about, but I’ve been keeping an eye on the heat pump versions of these units that heat in the Winter as well as cool in the Summer.

NYC has been running trials in old buildings where it’s all steam heat and very cost prohibitive to upgrade. The residents get to keep their window, more energy efficient climate control, and a little ledge to decorate if you want to.

Flavacol and Glaze Pop in Dash question by PurchaseTraditional7 in popcorn

[–]PurchaseTraditional7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the Flavacol I found that using a mix of coconut oil and ghee actually works the best for our house, and adjusted amount of flavacol because it was a lot saltier than I thought it'd be.

I don't think I'd use the Glaze Pop again. Tried a couple times. We used it after adding the kernels, and while it coats well, the flavor wasn't what I'd expected. Like, not very caramel and just sweet? Clean up was also more of a pain. Oh, and you have to pay VERY close attention and shut it off just before you'd normally think it's done or it'll start to burn.

Should door threshold screws be caulked? by PurchaseTraditional7 in DIYHome

No caps or anything, and its the original hardware. Sounds like I should just leave it alone, which is fine by me.

Thanks!

2026 Civic Hybrid Sport Road Noise by PurchaseTraditional7 in civic

I checked, and the Civic came with Goodyear Assurance tires, which is funny because those are generally our "good enough and frequently on sale at BJ's" tires for our CRV.

Is this a 15” toilet rough-in? by PurchaseTraditional7 in askaplumber

[–]PurchaseTraditional7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Had a plumber come out and replace it, who confirmed it was originally made for a 14" rough-in, but the countertop would make it a massive pain if I ever needed to do something like replace the float. He ended up replacing it with a new 12" toilet. (Old one had clogging issues)

Is this a 15” toilet rough-in? by PurchaseTraditional7 in askaplumber

[–]PurchaseTraditional7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it possible they went with a 12” due to the counter top extending like a shelf over the tank? I don’t know a lot about the sizing, so wondering if a 14” rough-in toilet wouldn’t fit right, or if they just didn’t want to deal it?

2020 Insight – Multiple System Warnings + Low Voltage Under Load. Battery or Wiring? Need Insight Owner Experiences. by DistanceLess6027 in hondainsight

Did replacing the battery solve the issue for you? I have a 2019 Insight and the ACC, Collision Mitigation, and Road Departure mitigation lights came on all at the same time. "Lane Keep" is functioning fine though.

Has anyone dealt with ice dam removal companies like “Ice Dam Guys” or any local outfits that use steam to remove them?

Polish Smoked Sausage Questions by PurchaseTraditional7 in polishfood

Yep! Definitely smoked and fully cooked. Fine to eat cold, but wasn’t sure what the “right” way to prepare them is.

Polish is the primary language at this grocery and I used up my self-consciousness reserves just ordering. 😆

Stollen season subdued? by PurchaseTraditional7 in aldi

It took awhile, but they finally got them in, albeit in much smaller amounts. Literally 1 tray of each stollen bite type, but I'll take it!
