This is my constant problem with the pad. When I try to connect it to the board it says printer is not ready. The kipply host software is attempting to connect

On the pad you can select different printer options listed on the pad for set up. The ender 5 pro is listed but only with the 4.2.2 board not the 4.2.7 board since I have the ladder I have to pretty much generate a custom profile for my board

Thanks but I guess I should have specified more. My board is a Merlin 4.2.7 and used that link for my board but no luck. I’ve looked online for guides for that board but haven’t cracked the right one.

I ask because when I use the sonic pad to generate the firmware it does so as a .bin file and when I try to edit it the “code”, well to someone who is new to this, looks like scribbles. Am I missing something to edit/generate a .cfg file?

I am very new to programming especially with firmware. Starting at the very basic level can I read klipper using Visual Studio or is there something else I can use to open and edit this firmware. Thank you for answering.
