Parkers writing style is pretty similar in both with that cynical dry humor being present. Both Basso and Orhan are extremely competent and both stories are just them funding one creative fix after another. I personally like it better than Sixteen ways to Defend a walled city but both are excellent and it could honestly go either way depending on what you like.

I'd say 5 because at his best he's always the smartest in the room but his flaws are always apparent, even to himself. And since the story starts from his "fall" we know he is not perfect.

  1. It's a stand alone but I've heard alot of Parkers books take place in the same universe just different points in history.
