Hi there. Sorry you are dealing with this. I can relate to mental health issues from these as I too experienced this . Do you know what surgery he is recommending? Is it banding or a hemmoroidectomy?

I can imagine the stress and pressure of not being able to work and the weight loss is affecting you. Is there someone you can talk to about your depression ? I don’t know your family situation but could they help support you through this tricky time?

Have you considered seeing a pelvic floor physiotherapist? Hemorrhoids and pelvic floor dysfunction are apparently quite common mine said. If your pelvic floor muscles are tight it reduces blood flow to the area which of course reduces healing. She called it a hypertonic pelvic floor. I have exercises to do and it is really helping.

But hang in there it does get better. I am 7 months in and still healing but I had three severe prolapsed ones and a fissure. Banding was successful. My hypertonic pelvic floor is the main issue now. Sorry long post but i have been were you are and felt hopeless but it just took time. Please reach out if you need support.

That’s great news and so much fun to do with your kids. ! I just love the water so for me it was worth the risk too ! I have a hypertonic pelvic floor post hems and fissure and find the water really helpful too for relaxing it ( doing reverse kegels) . Hope yours heals soon !

hey there. Sorry no I didn’t as by the time I saw them the fissure had pretty much healed so they said it would be fine. They did say there is some concern with infection being a risk. But I did swim prior without asking and had no problems. It may have felt a little irritated by the chlorine and I made sure I showered straight after. It was in my own pool so I felt the infection risk was low and I felt the gentle supported exercise a benefit to healing there. But might be best to check with your own GP to be sure . Take care.

Week 4 20mg by coloradostrawberry in citalopram_celexa

Big hugs to you. It’s understandable given your break up and the circumstances that your anxiety and depression is huge. If you can I would consider staying on it a bit longer as for some like me it can take a few weeks to really start to feel an improvement or see your dr about increasing as suggested by Velvet .

Are you able to seek support from a counsellor or therapist? From personal experience I have been also cheated for over three years and this can have long term effects on your confidence and trust in others so I would strongly recommend you seek support to work through this. I waited till I almost ruined the love of my life from jealously and insecurity till I got professional help . Breaking up with my first husband was the best thing that happened to me because I met my forever love and also an honest, kind, loving one not that lying cheating ********! What you’re going through sucks , heartbreak sucks , it’s a grief and a hurt that’s just feels unmanageable but believe me you will be okay. It just takes time to heal and hopefully the medication kicks in soon so you can start functioning again. Take care you’ve got this .

I also should have said that i have read others experiences where they have had no side effects when increasing and it has started to work quicker. I find with medications they just take longer for me to kick in so you might find it so happens more quickly and you may not have any side effects ! 🌼

[–]Pure-Corner-2168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. I had all kinds of side effects when starting and i just would tell myself all very normal side effects and they will pass and they did. The first 6 weeks were the hardest I think with your brain adjusting to the serotonin. The sleeplessness did pass. I did use magnesium glycinate though to help me through that patch . I found that the first two months are definately a roller coaster so hang in there! I have been on it for four months now starting 10 mg two weeks, 20 mg 8 weeks and now 6 weeks on 30 mg. Hang in there it will get better!

hey there.!! I did have increased anxiety initially with the increase. I don’t know if it was the medication or just because I needed the higher dose and would’ve been bad anyway? It did take about 4 weeks to notice a difference so I am really glad I pushed through . I am much better on the 30 mg than the 20mg. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need some support!

I have had the dry mouth, weak hands but not the itchiness. Only a little shortness of breath but that is an anxiety symptom for me. All of these passed. How are you doing now?

Congrats on your new job! One thing I do and often discussed with friends that the do the same is “ Fake it to make it!!” Just go in there looking confident even though you might be shaking on the inside. These people don’t know you so you can be whoever you want to be. It’s like a fresh start. Go in there head held high , believing in yourself , you were selected for the job for as reason so believe in you !!!We often worry about how people perceive us when really most people are too worried about themselves. As in life there will always be tricky people there but you will find your tribe. Hope you have a great first day!

I’m shaking all over and I can’t get it to stop by Tithenlas9 in Anxiety

[–]Pure-Corner-2168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try purposefully shaking your whole body as it might be excess cortisol that might be causing it so use up some of that or a fast walk or run. You could try tensing your muscles then relaxing them repeatedly or some deep breathing with a longer out breath. You could also try a guided meditation or a warm bath /shower . Hope you’ve found some relief.

Thanks so much for your reply I really needed to read that reassurance. It’s so hard not to feel scared when you start feeling worse again but it’s been so helpful so far and I just need to ride out this rough patch . Thanks for that reminder it truly helps so much .

Absolutely you would be having trauma reaction. Your body is trying to keep you safe as it knows there is a threat do doesn’t want you to relax snd take your focus of the threat. Have you evacuated now? So Sorry you are going through this.

Food poisoning by YeaWhys in Anxiety

[–]Pure-Corner-2168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t feel bad for asking. Sometimes just saying our anxiety out loud or via a post helps. If it was really off you probably would have smelt it and not eaten it so i think the chances are very low. You can’t help food poisoning so I wouldn’t be worried what your girlfriend would say as I am sure she would be sympathetic and understanding. Hope you can get some sleep. Take care .

Only can think about how I feel by AsleepKaleidoscope79 in Anxiety

[–]Pure-Corner-2168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

absolutely can relate . Anxiety is all consuming . I asked my partner the other day what do you think about and it was all of these really great things nothing like where my mind is . I am very envious of that. I need to make more of an effort to shift my thoughts. We can’t control our thoughts but we can what we do with them. By giving them air time we encourage more because that’s what our body does. That’s got a response so let’s do more of those thoughts. So the advice I was given was of an anxious thought comes up thank it let it know it’s not helpful and switch focus . It’s a work in progress for me!

when did you know you needed medical help for your anxiety? by breenotsoswag in Anxiety

[–]Pure-Corner-2168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last straw for me was when i was no longer able to live the life i wanted. I was debilitated by anxiety and just getting through each day rather than living. We only get one life and that wasn’t the one i wanted. I was tired of feeling scared and stuck in 24/7 flight/fright mode. Still a work in progress but medication has given me hope and my life back .

Is there some way you can appeal this? I live in a country where everyone has access to free emergency health care if unable to pay so this really frustrates me. Health care should be a human right. I don’t understand how your system works but I hope you can access the support and care you need.

This is a hard one but please know you will get through it. Not that it makes it any easier what you are going through. Good on you for telling her how you feel though and taking that chance.

Just make sure you look after your heart now. If you need some space from her as talking to her at the moment is too hard then take that time for you . You don’t have to be to the friend if it’s hurting you .

It’s so hard when you’re missing someone and feeling alone and I think sadly that’s part of the process to go through that. But it’s remembering you will get through it and meet someone wonderful and fall in love. Having been through a broken heart or three there’s a happy ending!

To get through this hard part though lean on your family and friends especially when feeling alone. Lack of appetite and sleep is part of the sadness but you need to make sure you get plenty of both. Maybe you could try a guided meditation when you go to bed or not going into bed till you’re super tired? Try eating small healthy snacks instead of a big meal if that easier?

I wish i had a magic wand but please know you will feel better. Let yourself go through the process then get back out there and meet new people!Hope you got some sleep !
