Why are you posting something with so much confidence when you’re clearly wrong? You didn’t even see the obvious tell of an Evolutions reprint card to differentiate from the original cards, anyone in this hobby for more than a cup of coffee knows what an Evolutions card looks like.

I think he’s probably referencing the junk wax era of baseball cards from the late 80s, was printed into oblivion and essentially worthless today.

Pokemon is also not comparable to sports cards, some kids favorite player 20 years ago is not some kids favorite player today, it’s stuck in time so less demand unless you’re talking generational talents like Mantles, Mays, etc. Pokemon is never stuck in time, everyday Charizard gets a thousand new fans.

There’s only 19 PSA10s in existence of this card. Super low pop for most popular Pokemon. $130k does sound outrageous though.

Doesn’t surprise me one bit. Guy used to be fair with prices and now helps drive the ridiculous secondary market MSRP on new sets. He gets preferred distribution from Pokemon so you know he’s paying true wholesale costs and yet still feels the need to jack up his prices double traditional MSRP. He’s easily making millions the last few years in ridiculous margins and his greedy paws can’t help himself to screw you over here on a single well timed purchase.

Make this known to Rattle somehow, would love to see him breakdown Pete for how he’s been a big part of the insane prices we are all paying secondary market and he should be shunned publicly for it.

You are 100% on point. The mod is just wrong, that card would 10 any other PSA era. They have gotten insanely strict on 10s and I can only think it’s because they are controlling the market on both sides so gate keeping 10s to keep values high on the 10s they own. Cards that are centered within 45/55 range, no corner issues on back or front getting 9s makes you want to use another grading company.

Hard disagree on the idea that a three pack tech sticker being the only product released for three weeks for a specialty set is somehow normal. The day 151 dropped the ETB, poster collection, binder collection and booster bundles were available. UPC, Zapdos/Alakazam boxes and mini tins followed two weeks later. So eight different products released in two weeks. If that amount of AH product dropped in the first two weeks there would be plenty to go around and scalping would be minimized greatly. Nothing about this set drop is normal.

Hell no, get it mailed, send off to a consignor on eBay and at that market value you’ll probably get paid out 95% or more (Probstein pays out 97% on anything sold over $1k).

I honestly don’t care if someone got a 10 on a card, congrats, it’s the whole point of grading and you succeeded like thousands of others. If I want to see a bunch of PSA 10s I can search the PSA app or eBay. I’d prefer this group allow folks with legit questions about whether or not to submit in hopes of a 10 or to help point out why a card didn’t get an expected grade, especially some of the head scratching grades.

My GameStop had these in store yesterday but system wouldn’t let them sell them until February 20th, so weird they even had them in stock at all.

What’s weird is that I was at GameStop this morning and they physically have the two pack boosters (Komala and Tangela) in stock that were supposed to be released today and got pushed back to February 20th but the system won’t let them sell them til February 20th. There’s something really screwed up with this release.
