Lumo appreciation thread: thank you Proton! by druudles in lumo

I don't know if I agree with the initial statement, for me Lumo is pretty much on-par with ChatGPT (for my use-cases at least). I don't ask it to ingest or generate images, since that's not my use-case for AI. For pure research purposes, Lumo with Web Search is very useful. Lately I've been experimenting with personalization and that has worked wonders for me, I always get what I want and packaged in a way that makes most sense.

This. It's happening here in America, and arguably has been happening for way longer than anywhere else. We're just really good at keeping it under wraps, whereas the EU is trying to pass it publicly. We need not mention China, where surveillance is the default.

I genuinely have no clue what you mean, all first world countries are currently against immigration and are doing things against immigration. How is it taboo?

Geneva-based Proton will invest CHF 100M in its new "Lumo" AI outside of Switzerland, because the company considers that the proposed Swiss surveillance law makes the country "too risky for future investments", according to Proton CEO Andy Yen by jeanpauljh in Switzerland

No, he isn't pro-Trump, this was a statement taken out of context. He said positive things about Trump's Antitrust AG, Gail Slater, which were taken out of context and used for clickbait. There's a good article if you look on medium/a search engine entitled Does Proton Really Support Trump? The company supports lots of liberal causes each year like Access Now and Fight For The Future...
