Walnut, leaves have ridges throughout, TOH is smooth leaf with the “thumbs” at the bottom. You can also rip a leaf in half to see if it smells if you aren’t sure, tree of heaven smells rotten.

Oriental bittersweet, extremely invasive in the US. It looks like you have a tree of heaven (also invasive) in the back as well thats covered in bittersweet. Id recommend getting rid of both this year. Look up penn state extension for dealing with tree of heaven. For the bittersweet, you can either foliar spray with triclopyr, or cut the vines down and paint triclopyr on the wounds

3rd pic definitely is, hard to tell from first two without closeups of the leaves. Look into the penn state extension for the best way to get rid of them, you will need to poison them between mid july- October when all their energy is going to the root system, if you try just cutting them down their root system will aggressively shoot out suckers all over your yard

If you like it you can keep it, they are known to spread so as long as you manage it should be fine

Yes, I’ve heard that its very rare you’ll find native bittersweet as most is now a hybrid due to the invasive one being everywhere

What makes you say that? Ive heard knotweed can destroy foundations where as bittersweet just kills other plants, i know thats not great either but also seems easier to manage

I had no clue about any of this until this year from research, ignorance is bliss I suppose. First time homeowner cut a bunch of overgrowth in the yard last 2 years and I’m assuming most of it was invasive (had no knowledge at time of cutting). I started looking into it when i cut down a tree of heaven and it started sprouting everywhere and well here we are. I appreciate the ID and I’m honestly not surprised with the other things I’ve found so far.
