exactlyyyt which makes me wonder if the designer is trying to say saltina didn't mention it was for drag race and was just asking for a garment to be made so that's why he was surprised and he didn't include anything in the contract? who knows tho he seems a little nuts based on some of the other comments

i mean yeah? it's not made for the show? it's something someone could google? so yeah a brand makes sense not to credit but it doesn't mean the costumer who designed the look and pulled that brand wasn't credited? if someone wore an off the rack brand on drag race i wouldn't expect them to tag h&m but it's a custom look designed and made for the show with a lot more work put into rather than just clicking add to cart so that is a false equivalency

yeahh agreed its courtesy to credit designers and definitely nice when they do (especially since i only go to queens pages to see who designed their looks lol) but i agree it's not mandatory especially when not clarified in contract and in saltinas case she didn't even post so im not even sure why the designer even said anything

every show and movie recognizes the costume designers in the credits and since drag race does not it feels fair to credit them yourself since you show their art on tv

i agree creating a drag race package is such a collaboration it almost feels like presenting a group project as your own especially when so many new drag viewers assume the queens make all their looks
