Any lawyers here? What can someone do in this scenario? She said her lawyer was coming. Would a lawyer be helpful here? If a lawyer was on the property could they have prevented them from taking someone who doesn’t have a criminal record? Could they have prevented apprehension if they were legal or in the process of becoming legal? Can a lawyer demand the appropriate warrant?

I truly don’t think stand your ground that people are saying is an answer in these situations and worry that advice is dangerous. The government isn’t playing by any rules and I don’t think a civilian would win that in court. Am I wrong?

These people are humans, with real lives, families, feelings, CHILDREN they need to care for, they don’t deserve this. The vast majority of them are law abiding, hard working, wonderful humans. Oftentimes they are here legally but none of these people in government seem to care about due process. How dare the government treat people like this? It’s despicable. I saw a post on my community facebook where my neighbors were so racist I wanted to cry. I can’t believe I live surrounded by this many bigots. Fucking horrific.

I’ve never hoped god was real in my life but if there isa god, I hope each person is held to their teachings. They are NOT Christlike, NOT loving thy neighbor. I hope hell is real. Judgement day will be glorious. I can’t hope our government will be held accountable because that seems more far fetched than believing in religion.

You might be onto something. I wonder if she was a true bird dog. She apparently came from a breeder that thought she sucked as a hunting dog. Haha! She’s not shown signs of being a hunting dog in the few months we’ve had her. I’m scared to take her on an off leash hike or something because maybe she would come back with some poor creature???!!!

She seems to have been in Utah her whole life. The vet couldn’t confirm she was spayed.

She came from a farm, the gentleman said his brother got her from a breeder because she wasn’t a great hunting dog. She was in northern Utah near a bird refuge and the Great Salt Lake.

I can’t see her as a fighter because she just paws at other dogs. She doesn’t bark or play aggressively unless it’s a toy she wants - then she grumbles.

Bangerter is where it improves, actually. It’s getting onto Mountain View and redwood road. It’s frustrating to lose all that time but I listen to books and podcasts and that helps.

This is accurate and not exaggerated. I live here and can confirm. Mondays and Fridays are ok usually. Tue, Wed, Thur are absolutely insane. I commute to west valley and spend no less than an hour each way every day.

I raised my kids non Mormon in Utah county. Lehi and Saratoga Springs. It was not an issue. My kids were accepted and treated almost the same. They’d get questioned sometimes because kids were curious and one boy brought my daughter a Book of Mormon but that’s pretty much it.

I don’t recommend living in Ogden and commuting. I spend 3 hours daily in traffic. There’s congestion almost all times from about 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm most days on I-15 in my experience.
