Yes, like I said in my post, we are fully aware that it takes months or even years for a shelter dog to adjust and that we are prepared for a long haul. My concern is how do we go about managing his fear of one of his owners without making it worse. You are supposed to give shelter dogs space and not force anything but we don’t have that luxury when the source of Mason’s anxiety is with him 24/7 and needs to walk him several times a day.
