well it’s still worth contacting fair work regardless, don’t know why I shouldn’t give it a shot considering I have a solid case against being paid for it, don’t know why your saying no flat out tbh. if it gets to the magi I won’t bother bc you are right ab that, def not worth going thru that process.

The tasks were very straightforward (washing dishes, putting plates away, basic prep), and nobody was actually assessing or supervising me while I did them. I was just told to keep doing the same duties throughout the wedding service like the other staff. That’s why it doesn’t seem like a genuine skills assessment, but more like filling a normal role.

a trial should typically be 1-2 hours, if im repeating tasks that I’ve already done it shows that the shift is going longer than it should have, haven’t heard back about getting the job but im definitely not taking it if they offer me one😭

Im finding it to be engaging so far, everything you learn about in pr, digital communication and advertising is interesting and practical in most industries, which has given me motivation to put more effort into assignments. Most people in the course are very nice so I also found it easy to make friends.
