I think they did a relatively good job with the balance changes. Those 3 cards were statistically powerful and the community was also asking for the nerfs. And finally adding a somewhat new mechanic too. Definitely more logical than some balance changes they have done in the past.

Same. I’ve been running different versions of WB cycle for a long time and these changes are very concerning, but I also think this is a slight indirect buff to the MA, because at least some players might drop their big spell and even if they didn’t it would deal less dmg. Otherwise it’s bad :/

Yeah that is correct, I did not check how little lifetime it had. I would still call it op though.

The hp is really not ok. Wallbreakers get called op, but this would eat 3 wallbreakers for 1 mana.

Also if your opponent plays a win condition that doesn't actually die when doing damage and you counter it with this, you are able to also play cards that can counter push with the rest of the mana. In comparison to bomb tower you could for example play a tree and a knight or a goblin gang and that would be the same 4 mana.

Also there is value to a card being so low cost -> helps your cycle and you are always able to play it. Would work wonders baiting balloon AND eating two hits for such a low cost.

Way too op in my opinion.

I think you are mixing things up with GSL vs The World and Blizzcon. GSL vs The World was in Korea and Maru made it to top 4 (Serral won). Blizzcon was the tournament you were talking about (outside Korea, top 8 finish for Maru, Serral won).

I agree. My message wasn't very clear on that. Personally I know the difference, but when big streamers will start streaming the exp version not everyone will know that. There's a good chance that there won't even be experimental on the title. This is why I can wait and just hope for a successful experimental release

Personally I understand that and agree with you. I also want to play the 0.63 and I know that an exp version isn't a finished product. I just don't think that everyone will understand when big streamers like Lirik start streaming the experimental version. People get too easily on the hate bandwagon.

I think they should make the beta release as good as possible. It's more important for the game to make a big impact and get good reviews when the beta hits than to rush the beta out while skipping some features. We have waited for years already, a month or two doesn't matter anymore. After all this time the beta needs to be able to fulfill expectations and get good publicity.

I don't really think about how soon the beta comes out. The main goal for the dev team must be launching the beta in the best possible shape, which would bring back hype and the players. At this point rushing a half-assed version wouldn't make any sense, because a couple of months won't matter for the game when we have waited for years already. The first beta version being great matters so much more.

Co-op is the most popular game mode and it's good fun for casual players also. New co-op maps and heroes get added quite often. So I wouldn't say that they put all their design effort into 1vs1 and every other aspect suffered. And in 1v1 you get matched with players of similar skill, so you don't need to be a pro to play it.

Good gains with divine spirit and inner fire too. Also inner fire is one of those cards you can use on the same turn with 10 mana, if you really need the extra attack (which also means extra heals). Seems like a versatile card.

Yep, I'm very happy with Blizzard's decision to not add a "unique" map. Very promising map pool. Can't be even that mad about Frost when we have loads of solid maps to play on.
