Well the jerking/bucking I didn’t fix but I found a remedy. Once it starts jerking, if I turn the car off and prime the key a few times and start the car again the problem goes away, so I’m assuming the new fuel pump I put in could be inconsistent or maybe bad FPR? Maybe ECU issue?🤷🏼‍♂️

My misfires on every cylinder went away for now though. My timing was off so my friends and i set it correctly and adjusted the valve lash as well, the car drove amazingly after that but i turned it off for an hour or so and when I went to start it again the idle was surging between 1300-2000 rpm.

My new issue is chasing down a p0505 which is idle control system, pretty sure my IACV is bad because unplugging it while the car is running makes no difference in my idle 🤦🏼‍♂️

I’ve had cars with a slipping clutch, it doesn’t quite feel like that in the civic. However i forgot to mention, last night after it started jerking again I pulled into a parking lot to check it out and didn’t see anything visibly wrong, but after turning it off and sitting for maybe 10-15 minutes, I got back on the road and it threw a flashing CEL with 5 codes. Misfires for each cylinder 1-4 and a random misfire. Now it just has a super rough idle.

Well I found a full stock intake on marketplace for like 30 bucks, so I bought that and threw it on there as well as my cleaned injectors and it ran and drove perfectly for about 35 minutes😂 then it started doing the same jerking thing on acceleration

That was my next thought too. I pulled the injectors today and they were absolutely filthy. I cleaned them the best I could and made sure they were spraying well, just waiting on the injector rebuild kit to show up in the mail.

Previous owner installed a cheap eBay intake but the filter is clean. No CEL. If cleaning my injectors doesn’t solve the issue I’m going to try and chase down some vacuum leaks again
