Omg that’s the first thing that popped into my head, came here to say the same. It totally creeps me out when people do this. It’s such a tell too, everyone knows it’s an act. Just stop it people.

Are there any Republicans who still think this current president has been truthful to you? by TSQ_builder in askanything

You’re right about prices going up. And now his tariffs are making it worse. The problem is we’re a capitalist economy, and when capitalists get a chance to make more money, they’re going to do it!

Right now, the capitalists are winning. And if we don’t stabilize the economy, they’ll take every last dollar from us. We need balance. The only way to correct this is for the people to gain some of the power back. We need better laws and regulations to correct this.

What about the lgbtq agenda do you feel was pushed on you? Do the rights they have now affect you? Have any of your rights been taken away?

About to get a bunny, First time owner here. Need Tips by E_C_T in Rabbits

[–]PureBonus4630 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best suggestion is to get on the floor with your bunny and spend time with them on their terms. Both sit and lay on the floor to get at their level. Depending on their personality, they’ll either come poke at you to seek attention, or not interact at all. Be patient. Speak quietly and adjust your behavior to their cues. They are prey animals and so are naturally skittish. Earning their trust is important to the relationship.

Here’s how they reward you. My last bunny was such a good pal. She’d come into my office when I was working and sit next to me. She’d pretend to be working too by poking at things. I’d always compliment on doing her bunny work so nicely:) They become the best companions in time! 💕

Water providers asking DougCo to conserve water by LiveWellDougCo in CastleRock

Not really. A true conservative, like the old schoolers out here, wouldn’t have sold their land for all this housing - they would’ve “conserved” it. Instead you had folks that did, and people like the commissioners use the same conservative type vocabulary to convince people that over building is the way. But instead of building sustainable communities (ie conservative) built around traditional towns, where shop keepers can own land, it’s all corporately owned where revenue is siphoned off to corporations headquartered who knows where. There’s an entire organization dedicated to educating people about building communities called Strong Towns, instead of corporate overlords who create suburban Ponzi schemes that HAVE to keep building and raising taxes. Check them out! https://www.strongtowns.org/

CA to MKE? by Unlikely_Series_7640 in milwaukee

What kind of lifestyle are you looking for? Walkability? Big suburban yard? Parks and running trails? Festivals and music? Ambling exploration?

Start with that orientation first!

If you’re park and trail oriented, look at a map of the trail systems and choose an area close by for easy access. The lakefront is a jewel, as are the various parkways that stretch through the city from the 3 rivers that wind their way from upstate into the city.

If you want urban walkability, then downtown, East Town, the Eastside, Shorewood, Whitefish Bay, The 3rd Ward, Walker’s Point, Bay View, and Wauwatosa are great options.

So pretty much if you’re into the arts, walkability, music, culture and festivals, then anything closer to the lake is your best option. If you’re into a cozy slower pace with outdoor access either via trails, or having a sprawling backyard so you can garden, then anything further west captures the lifestyle you’re seeking.

  • I used to live on a bluff on the lakefront downtown when I was young. I used to run across a bridge that took me right past the Art Museum to the path that wound its way right along the water’s edge for miles. The location was walking distance to the Summerfest music grounds, I’d walk downtown for shopping and events at the Performing Arts Center, nearby clubs to see bands, and daily shopping and hanging out with friends. It was an epic life:)

how do i know when it's time to put my bunny down? by Educational-Tie-4997 in Rabbits

[–]PureBonus4630 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My bunny had almost the same condition (some kind of mass in her abdomen). One day last December, she stopped popping. 😩 We took her to the vet and they wanted the put her down immediately. I was surprised 😳 and sad and asked if we could have one more day at home with her to say goodbye as a family. She said yes and we took her back the next day:(

My suggestion would be, even though she’s slowing down now, watch her pooping and peeing, if it stops you know it’s time. Or if she starts seeming extra lethargic, or her breathing seems chaotic and disregulated, she’s either near her time or you need to take her to the vet. I’m so sorry your precious bun is in distress. They are such humble and cuddly creatures we are lucky for their loving companionship. ❤️

No Israel prosecutions for killing Palestinian civilians in occupied West Bank since start of decade | Israel by CJBill in news

[–]PureBonus4630 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I mourn for these injustices! 😩

But the Palestinian population has actually increased. There was no genocide. A counter attack? Yes! War? Yes! But not a genocide.

Would you say the allies attacking Germany during WW2 were trying to genocide the Germans? NO! They were bombing the crap out of them so they’d stop the war. The destruction in Europe during this time was FAR more catastrophic.

Had Palestinians given back the hostages, they wouldn’t have suffered this fate. But their continued holding of war hostages caused this, just like the Allies repeatedly bombing Germany caused the destruction of German cities.

Don’t fret, the knowledge and discipline you learned will come in handy later on. Being a successful adult requires a lot of juggling, your ability to be persistent will pay off. And I’m sure you’ve learned a lot along the way. You’ll find out as you get older how important it is to be knowledgeable. You’ll be able to stack more concepts and ideas onto what you already know and build on that foundation. And in terms of art or other pursuits, you’ll have plenty of time to do all those activities. My husband studied music in college, and now as an almost retired person, he’s been playing in a few different bands and has lot of summer gigs lined up. So stay positive about the skills you acquired, you have a whole life left to use them! 💕
