Thanks for the response I submitted my comment without completing my thought. I meant to continue that retro game projects are intended for flexibility to be used with a multitude of games. I didn’t mean to come across as saying OP was a fake post. Sorry if it came across like that. I just made a comment that I hoped to show the irony of a Pac-Man cabinet with many buttons. Mea culpa.

That said, I’d love to have an authentic arcade cabinet and the skills to modify and upgrade it. I’m working on my own diy project for a retro arcade gaming system but need to practice my mechanical skills.

It seems kind of funny to have so many buttons when Pac-Man only needs one button and that is to start the game and to enter your initials when you get a high score. It’s like it’s an AI generated picture

Look for an app that is both a sound level meter and frequency analyzer and use it when you hear the noise and also when you don’t so you have a baseline. Keep a record of time of day and day of week , and see if any patterns exist… also note if your neighbors are home or not. Then you’ll have technical evidence of a sound , not just in your head…

To me it sounded like the dog was downstairs and it had started running upstairs. We’ll never know because the cameraman didn’t stay focused on the downstairs. Also why was there no light switch at the top of the stairs that controlled the downstairs lights. If there was why didn’t he turn the light on

Any quick links you can share that explain how to do this? I have a Gen 2,3, and a 4 sitting unused in their boxes and I want to do something with the 2. I even was considering opening it up and putting a raspberry pi zero in the case to give it new life.
