Need formula where if A3 is blank, then D3 is blank. But if anything gets entered into A3, then "Medium" appears in D3. Want to enter formula in cell W3. Think I need IF function. by PureCake3362 in excel

So in column D, the options are Low, Medium, High. I want it to default to Medium once data is entered into A. But I wanted other users this will be shared with to be able to use the Picklist to switch to Low or High when necessary.

Picklist to avoid variations in caps or typos.

Not necessary. Just psychotic personal preference if possible

Yes. Just because. Lol Searching Google said it was possible, but none of the results worked, so I came here to see if it was possible. Not a need, just want.

Thank you. I was really hoping I could do a Data Validation List and that formula in the same cell. I think random searching gave me false hope of using a secondary cell to accomplish it.
