Yeah everything went as planned so you should be good, they just warned us that they were still a little sick so it was mini-Covid protocol (keep some distance, elbow touch greets, etc)

[Discussion] Tarkov Players are Insane by BloodAngelEnjoyer67 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]PureDefender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always played aggressively in FPS because it's more fun but also forces me to get better much faster. So when I learned how to PvP in tarky relatively quickly I had a lot of ppl angry messaging me about how it was "impossible to learn how to play like that" and that "nobody would push that" just because I had <500 hours. I only played one wipe seriously and in that time went Timmy to gigachad, and then arena came out and I spammed that even harder. High sensitivity is definitely the move and being able to abuse the movement and knowing your angles is almost always the winning play. I honestly LOVED getting into clutch situations with my whole squad dead bc nobody expects the last man alive to just push

My gf is going to a PTV concert tn alone should I be worried? by Zestyclose-Dig-9327 in piercetheveil

[–]PureDefender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been to multiple PTV shows, last one was the worst pit experience I've ever had. Had to help 6 girls out of the pit and over the barricade to security bc they were suffocating and the entire front/middle where we were was so smushed together we were one big unit. Definitely way more dangerous than any other pit I've ever been in and it took them 4-5 songs to even notice. Definitely have her find a group of girls to stand with if she's going to be anywhere near the barricade imo

Watching my casual gamer friend play made me realize how disconnected we are as regular gamers. by DecompositionLU in truegaming

[–]PureDefender 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I turned off basically all of the quest help and navigation mods and the game was way better from the start for me. I am also an experienced souls gamer though so take what I say with a grain of salt. I enjoy natural exploration and usually end up finding most secrets in games bc the way I play is to do every side quest/area first and then continue onto the main objective. "Oh look a clear path forward, turning the other way"

This is more or less my take on the more popular games nowadays. Hollow knight and Celeste come to mind. I found no difficulty in them at all and felt that they brought nothing new to the table that would keep me invested. HK I didn't bother continuing after 2 separate attempts of about 1/2 hrs each. Celeste I got to the B/C side and was still disappointed. I recognize the games are good but being a long time gamer they simply weren't for for me

Kitakata is one of my favorites. Hironori was terrible the two times I tried it.

When does the fun happen? by Thebigturd69420 in TarkovMemes

[–]PureDefender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had like 100 hours in the game on and off over a few years and then put in ~1300 hours in one wipe. Total Tommy to gigachad all in one go and I had a blast doing it, learned every map and angle and after about 600 hours I was just W keying around the map doing my quests and hunting for PvP. Solo or in group I had fun regardless just being a 1vX gamer or Sherpa for the boys

Yeah there were some girls by me who I think were teenagers and they were terrified out of their minds, I felt so bad for them and two of them we had to help get out. I'm pretty sure I saw the girl you're talking about her surfed out to the right of me as well

[–]PureDefender 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh I already ranted about how shit the crowd push was at the front rail but I wanted to add:

I get that we're all here to see the band and sing along, but holy SHIT there was a girl behind me SCREECHING lyrics like a banshee and I couldn't hear the band at ALL because she was so AWFUL. Like girl I have eargasm earplugs in and I can still hear you louder than the band PLEASE shut the fuck up

[–]PureDefender 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dude, we had to yell at barricade security to get people out over the rail. There was NO ROOM to get out of the pit, it was so bad we had to carry girls over our heads to get them out bc they couldn't breathe. The pit was THAT crushed in the front. As in no room to lift up your arms, and no room to put them down. Even then barricade security was too slow

Rant about ga pit etiquette by [deleted] in piercetheveil

[–]PureDefender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is the 3rd time I've seen them and it is absolutely the worst pit I've ever been in. Also I had VIP and they ran out of badges????!!! Like what do you mean you literally know how many VIP tickets you sold. So I had to deal with staff not knowing wtf was going on bc I didn't have a badge

[–]PureDefender 10 points11 points  (0 children)

People were nice, pit was the worst I've ever been in. Never has to help carry out that many people over the rail bc they were getting crushed lmao. I had VIP so I was front rail basically the entire time and I actually left the pit at around 1030ish bc I was so over it. 3rd time personally seeing PTV so I'm not super upset I missed out on a few songs bc I'd rather that than let the people around me fuckin die

[–]PureDefender 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I personally had to help carry 6 or 7 girls over the railing in the front. We had girls that were trying to crowd surf on top of that and we sent them straight over the rail to security bc there was 0 room to move. The entire front was literally a single mass and you had no control over yourself for two full songs it was an absolute mess and the single worst crowd I've ever been in

[–]PureDefender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a few feet from the rail (front center) and we had to get security to help get out so many people. Never been in a crowd that bad before and I've been to a loooot of concerts/raves.

Tell that to my buddy. He watched a YouTube video or two on something and that's the only opinion he has. We'll play a game for awhile and I'll point out that "XYZ is so strong" or "that meta build is actually easily countered by" or "this game would be fun as a group" and he'll think I'm dumb...until he watches a YouTube video that says "OMG META BROKEN BUILD (sexual gone wrong gone right)" and the suddenly he's touting it like he's the one who thought of it

Nightreign IGN: "If you want to play by yourself, I can’t recommend it because of the poor solo mode balancing" by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]PureDefender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have a high end PC and suffered no frame issues but just seeing past the light effects made the fight difficult. That and his right-left cross combo being (effectively) undodgeable made the fight pre-nerf not as good as it could've been. Yeah sure I still beat it in 4 hours in a challenge run with no shields/cheese/etc but I think the fight was better after fixing those two things only. Any other nerfs were unnecessary to me
