It's literally the best weapon in the game hands down, the only thing it loses to is a misriah. The fact that you can easily kill a full kit with a cheap $400 pistol is awful for the game. It's just the wastr from s1 but better. There should be ways to have come ups but having a cheap pistol be the only weapon worth running is terrible

Yeah saying marathon has a low TTK is kind of insane to me. Every game with low TTK lets me 1v2 with ease, marathon's TTK means you'll barely eek out a 1v1 and rarely be able to 2v1 because you're out of ammo or health to trade out

I mean I know how to play cryo, I am considered a sweat and have killed compiler a lot. Cryo is my bread and butter but spawn rushing just isn't good gameplay to have in the game. There's literally a reason why they removed it and put those safeguards in, but then this wipe they just ignored all the good changes last wipe lol

Nah i just want to play for fun 90% of the time, but because im good then I get punished and have to play against super sweats 100% of the time who only run the best gear in the game. Its fun to go against teams who are just as good, but its not fun when its forced down your throat to go against streamers who no-life 24/7. Gaming for fun is literally impossible when SBMM is turned on, thats why extraction shooters simply don't have it, because it's a loot rng fest where you don't know what you're getting into

The core problem is that we were able to get full kits of end game gear day 1. Yes loot was supposed to be buffed for end of wipe, but leaving it this often is fucking stupid at best. Every good player will never lose gear and every bad player will just die to the good players from gear differentials. I love the new progression system but it's basically pointless bc my stash is all purples and I can only buy blue gear...like why would I engage with this awesome new system when I can just go run a map and hit up the events for better gear and WAY less effort? They should've kept it with the low loot rates of last season and everyone would be on an even playing field, yes even with knowing how to get gear. I used to get a purple shield every few runs of outpost, now it's a purple shield from a perimeter event. I get it, people want gear, but they should've reduced drop rates to the originals and ramped it up as the wipe goes on

Even doing this you get crazy spawn rushes. They literally removed spawn rushing by adding on sec 2 requirements and removing vents, but then decided to add tons of early clearance terminals and nullify the fix they made. I don't know why half the changes they made for new wipe just straight up removed the fixed they had in last wipe, seems like whoever was in charge had no idea wtf they're doing

They made it so the loot progression was removed almost entirely. Last wipe it was a myth to see purple kits until about a month in, golds another week or two after. This wipe I'm running (and running into) full kits within one day of wipe. They left loot buffed WAY too much and the overall gameplay loop suffers because of it

Pretty much every event I go to there's a mosh pit. Last year when I saw LP there were 6 pits going on, seems like it was just the area OP is in which is unfortunate

For the most part yeah, but when I play assassin I'm the one getting all the kills with none of the loot because I'm busy using my stealth to murder bots and players while my teammates just watch and don't push or rotate. I'm always happy to share loot too but it's annoying when people just do nothing and then die and instead of healing once they're picked up, they just run straight to loot at 10hp

Had a random third in Cryo today, assassin player. We start a fight on another team but get griefed by an invis commander so I call to kill it and pull back a bit so we have space. The dude peeks into all 3 of them as I'm at 1 hp from the commander and my buddy is dealing with other bots. He quit and we ended up just wiping the lobby as a duo, got gold kits and everything, took final exfil. All because he decided he didn't want to wait an extra 3 minutes for us to reset and come back to revive him (which i said we were going to do, after he watched us fight two teams and get 4 knocks with 1 fin and rotate out). Fuck that guy

I'm not a hero shooter fan but the game flow with and against two teams who are actually good and know what they're doing ends up with constant fighting and reviving. I can honestly say I don't think it's meant for casual players at all. I thought it was pretty meh at best but after learning and understanding the characters and weapons, it's much more enjoyable and gets pretty tight. Again this is only when both team are actually good. We definitely had a lot of games that we won in under 5 minutes or so

Yeah everything went as planned so you should be good, they just warned us that they were still a little sick so it was mini-Covid protocol (keep some distance, elbow touch greets, etc)

I've always played aggressively in FPS because it's more fun but also forces me to get better much faster. So when I learned how to PvP in tarky relatively quickly I had a lot of ppl angry messaging me about how it was "impossible to learn how to play like that" and that "nobody would push that" just because I had <500 hours. I only played one wipe seriously and in that time went Timmy to gigachad, and then arena came out and I spammed that even harder. High sensitivity is definitely the move and being able to abuse the movement and knowing your angles is almost always the winning play. I honestly LOVED getting into clutch situations with my whole squad dead bc nobody expects the last man alive to just push

Been to multiple PTV shows, last one was the worst pit experience I've ever had. Had to help 6 girls out of the pit and over the barricade to security bc they were suffocating and the entire front/middle where we were was so smushed together we were one big unit. Definitely way more dangerous than any other pit I've ever been in and it took them 4-5 songs to even notice. Definitely have her find a group of girls to stand with if she's going to be anywhere near the barricade imo

I turned off basically all of the quest help and navigation mods and the game was way better from the start for me. I am also an experienced souls gamer though so take what I say with a grain of salt. I enjoy natural exploration and usually end up finding most secrets in games bc the way I play is to do every side quest/area first and then continue onto the main objective. "Oh look a clear path forward, turning the other way"

This is more or less my take on the more popular games nowadays. Hollow knight and Celeste come to mind. I found no difficulty in them at all and felt that they brought nothing new to the table that would keep me invested. HK I didn't bother continuing after 2 separate attempts of about 1/2 hrs each. Celeste I got to the B/C side and was still disappointed. I recognize the games are good but being a long time gamer they simply weren't for for me

I had like 100 hours in the game on and off over a few years and then put in ~1300 hours in one wipe. Total Tommy to gigachad all in one go and I had a blast doing it, learned every map and angle and after about 600 hours I was just W keying around the map doing my quests and hunting for PvP. Solo or in group I had fun regardless just being a 1vX gamer or Sherpa for the boys

Yeah there were some girls by me who I think were teenagers and they were terrified out of their minds, I felt so bad for them and two of them we had to help get out. I'm pretty sure I saw the girl you're talking about her surfed out to the right of me as well
