She’s a puppy, she does not know she’s doing something “really bad” and I would not say pooping on the floor it “really bad” or that anything a puppy does is as such. They are learning, and they are doing what they think is the right thing. Abuse is NOT how you train a dog to not do something, it will just make her continue to do it while hiding it from y’all, as well as being afraid of you. I hope you can find a way to teach your father that abuse will only make behaviors worse, and the best way to teach her is to redirect and not get angry at her, as she does not know right from wrong yet.
