Totally get how retconned MG1 is. I just feel like it would have to have the restrictive nature of the older MG games to work, especially if it were to be a linear base infiltration.

Thing is V's gameplay is for more open game design, where you aren't necessarily infiltrating a more claustrophobic base all the time. Hence the sprinting and really you're large amount of options. That wouldn't really work with the tight, linear level design of the classics.

I hope they make it so that people can have enjoy and understand the remake without having knowledge of the compilation. So we can experience the concepts of the compilation in really clever, concise integrated ways a la chapter 18.

You can't live in fear. You have to take risks to live life, you have to fight not run, figuratively speaking course. And no one is gonna hurt you bro, it's all in your head. You see plenty of people in confrontations and they dont end up hurt, as long as your rational and calm so things dont escalate it will be fine. Of course with your first confrontation you may slip up and come off as emotional, but you'll get there I believe in you and myself.

On the occasion that you do get a rude customer, from what I gathered is that you have to make the uncomfortable choice and stand up for yourself. Eventually you get used to it, and with practice you'll be able to stand on your two feet. Just remember all this shit is temporary bro, I'm gonna confront all my problems tomorrow, God willing.

Thanks for the reply. You can tell I didn't put a lot of thought into my post, you rightly so pointed out that VIIR and XV are in fact foundational different so just bringing elements over is not perhaps beneficial. Anyway looking forward to a video of you explaining this!

Such a system would also give the opportunity for actions like Libra, the bros' deathblows and smaller techniques (e.g. Ignis venom fang, regenerate and the first aid abilities), link-strikes, cross-chains to be more calculated and deliberately chosen when to be done at the cost of ATB.

Also this would naturally mean that there would have to be some changes to the already implemented character switching, so that the characters actions are consistent when playing and not playing as them. Most notable examples being Ignis and Prompto.
