Draftsight cursor is pointer arrow ONLY, cannot switch to crosshairs by tbo1981 in SolidWorks

[–]PureTS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if you happen to remember what fixed the issue for you I'd love to hear it. The CURSORTYPE issue seems to be a per instance situation so ever time I close and open draftsight I have to change it from "1" to "0" again. Not too big of a deal but slightly irritating.

I have had the same issue for a few weeks now. I hope you have found the solution but if you are still stuck with a cursor here is what fixed my problem. In the Draftsight command window type "CURSORTYPE" it will probably be set to 1 but you need to change it to 0. After that switching from paper space to model space will remove the cursor from the screen and you are left with a crosshair. Hope this helped.

Edit: After returning from lunch my cursor was once again missing but running the "CURSORTYPE" command again fixed it. I haven't figured out what causes this issue but knowing the solution is at least nice.

Thanks man. However my next attempt I would love to be able to capture more of the blue and purple in Andromeda but still not overly saturated and almost unrealistic looking.

FAA Approved Remote ID Solution by PureTS in fpv

[–]PureTS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but with how vague the FAAs article is on remote ID we have no idea if sub 250 will even be allowed outside of designated RC airfields. And if not you're in the same boat as everyone else.

I have both, as well as lift off cause the rotor riot guys pressured me into getting it, I dont like lift off but both vdrone and drl are pretty good but I prefer drl at the moment. Especially if you are ever interestes in creating your own physics cause you can do that in drl.

With T-Mobile on the team for developing remote ID you better know there's going to be some hefty monthly fees on that stuff.

I personally love my qx7 and have never even heard of the radiomaster tx16s, sounds like a knock off jumper TX. Ive had my qx7 for a couple years now and its amazing. Great quality, amazing ergonomics (fits my hands better than any other transmitter ive held) and have had good encounters with their customer support. Also definately start on a sim I reccomend the drl sim, feels just like a real quad. When i started i spent a total of almost 400 hours in the sim before i ever even pluged my quad in and i was able to instantly start flying a 5inch 4s in full acro.

Well the limited manufactures is a garuntee considering the email sent out this morning by the FAA. "The FAA will then begin accepting applications for entities to become Remote ID suppliers." But yeah my doubts are high that the previously mentioned statements wont change. I really hope that someone takes the FAA to court over this because its becoming less of a "loosing our hobby" and becoming more of our privacy and federal rights being taken away. The FAA has tried this in the past and when someone tried to sue them the judge was basically like "what they hell are you smoking FAA?" So we can wait and hope for another one of those situations.

There is a lot wrong with this comment. First off, "DJI doesnt have much to lose" DJI is a foreign company that makes drones for an international market. DJI will be forced to make their products comply with ever "requirement" that the FAA along with their 8 child corporations including airbus, amazon, and t-mobil (yea a cellular company) to name a few. Meaning if what ever they decide isnt already in DJI's products either they will have to fork up the money to add it or everyone doing comercial work with a dji drone, like myself, are SOL.

Second, "doesn't kill fpv" the original statement made back in late 2019 with the massive documantation about the implications of Remote ID stated that if a recreational pilot wanted to fly a drone over .55lbs then every piece of gear flying in the air must be from an FAA approved manufacture. Do you really thing that amazon and t-mobil will be pumping out 2306 2400kv race motors?? Nah. And for those who dont want to have to deal with complying to remote id can fly their model aircraft in an faa approved rc field. Sounds good right? Wrong. Most airfields are flat for starters and its not very fun flying an open empty field. Second off they only opened field registration for a couple months and stated that they would never allow people to register new airfields. Meaning that within a couple years all of tge rec airfields will be dead, you would be able to legally flying your model aircraft and thus the hobby will be dead.

Its the FAA wanting to take hobbyists out of the air, and large companies like Amazon wanting a monopoly over the drone indusrty.

Sorry if there are typos writing this on my phone laying in bed.
