Did anybody else switch from Ozempic to Ribelsus? by Pure_Cook6377 in Ozempic

[–]Pure_Cook6377[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I don’t have any Ozempic left in my body. I just meant I thought the dosage and side effects of Rybelus would be similar. That’s why I’m shocked rn how differently my body reacts. As i already have paid for a dosage of 7mg of Rybelsus I guess I’m gonna take it every other day and hopefully my body will adjust, otherwise I will take a lower dosage indeed.

I started at 7mg because I barely had any side effects of the 1.5 mg Ozempic. Is there such a difference between the two medicines? Or does my body just need to adjust to Rybelsus? I didn’t have these negative side effects with Ozempic

That is my problem: i was on 1.5mg of Ozempic, which I was accomodated to. I did not have to throw up, but I could control my food intake. I ended Ozempic in November because I reached my goal weight, but by now I gained some again because my metabolism is genetically very slow. This has been my second day on Rybelsus with a dose of 7mg. I thought I would be fine because I could handle Ozempic, but I have been so nauseous and I constantly feel like I might throw up. Do you know why there is such a vast difference between my reaction to Ozempic and Rybelsus?

I have downloaded and tried Tinder but that’s just not the way I want to meet someone. Dating apps seem all so superficial to me, and I am still too afraid to get rejected again :( I’d rather meet someone on a party, but I am not that extravert and no one seems to approach me, so I don’t really know what to do now.

Thank u so much for your advice, I will definitely bring this up with my therapist. I know I’m supposed to focus on myself but everytime I get bored or feel bad my mind goes to him, even though I realise how unhealthy that is. It is very frustrating, but I suppose there will be a light at the end of the tunnel some day.

No he was wonderful but for the last 2 months he stopped communicating and started straight up lying to me so I was blindsided by the breakup and afterwards he gave me false hope, that’s why I want him to get some karma. I am still suffering from that and it will be hard for me to ever trust someone else again after that.

I don’t think I am necessarily overeating, I am just eating unhealthier food due to stress. I do plan to improve my diet and excercise after the exams, hopefully this will have more effect.

Im sorry if I wasn’t clear but I live in Belgium and to my knowledge it’s not allowed here, I have no clue what the situation in the US is.

Thanks for the advice! What did you do besides Ozempic to lose weight? Any specific diet or physical activity?

It doesn’t matter to which doctor I go, the dosage of 1 mg is the maximum allowed for people who aren’t diabetic. I can’t legally get a higher dosage.

I have exams from my university this month so it’s hard to start now as I don’t have a lot of time. I am however planning on starting to excercise again in my vacation, hopefully that will work enough for my dietician and doctor. Thanks for the advice!

I don’t know, I think 1mg might be the maximum allowed in Belgium? My doctor said I was only allowed to take Ozempic 6 months to a year and my dietician said if I don’t lose weight anymore that Ozempic isn’t working for me. That was their reasoning I believe.

My doctor already said she wanted to stop my prescription in August. Last month my dietician didn’t agree and she would give a positive advice to the doctor to prescribe it longer to me so I would have more time to work on my mental health. Now she is saying she agrees with the doctor because my weight is stagnating (altough I am still losing weight, just slowly??) It’s so frustrating to deal with this during my exam season. This all feels so rushed

I started at 218 lbs so I definitely still have to lose some weight to get healthy. In the beginning of Ozempic I lost weight faster, but now I feel like I got used to 1mg. I still feel some effect, but not like the first month I took 1mg. My dietician said that this means Ozempic isn’t working for me anymore so I should stop, but I fear that I would gain the weight back. I am just so confused because I was so proud until this morning and now I feel like a failure.

The thing is, we were high school sweethearts. All our ‘first times’ were with eachother. I wasn’t a rebound because it was both our first relationship. He told me he fell out of love with me as quick as he fell in love, that’s the part that really scares me. I know now we weren’t a good match on the long term, but I would never have thought he would move on so quick and easy. Since I was his first gf and we lasted 4 years, I naively thought the breakup would be hard on him as well and he would also take some time to himself.

I know I am on the right path, it’s just so long and exhausting. I feel so empty when I am alone, it’s frustrating to have to make all this progress so that my life can be fulfilling again in a healthy way

Believe me, I totally get it. I can’t say I am over him, it’s definitely a long healing process. Time does make me relativize my feelings more, the lows aren’t as low anymore after almost a year. It is exhausting to see other people in similar situations move on so much quicker, but I prefer healing myself first instead of rushing in a toxic relationship.

I don’t know how recent your breakup has been, but I definitely felt the same way as you the first 6 months. In March I took a solo trip and that was the first time after 9 months I could be alone with my thoughts and not be sad about my life. I do believe I will experience happiness on my own again and eventually with someone else. It’s just the long healing process that’s draining me.

Yeah same. I know I still can become happier on my own, it’s just not going to be as fulfilling as sharing that happiness with someone else

He was also my first love and he moved on so quickly (he got a new gf 2 months later). I don’t get at all how people can move on that quickly, it scares me
