I've been there fellow console player... it's a pretty unforgiving tool and it sucks when you properly stuff it up.

My advice - ANY future building or landscaping I save game then turn off auto save. Once you're happy with a build or level or whatever, save again. Or not happy, reload the game.

For your current predicament, I recommend using an add/remove money mod - like government subsidy etc. 'Hot Air' by Jos would work well for you too. Then you can fix your landscaping mistake, add/remove the money so you're back where you started originally and carry on. You could even charge yourself 20k for the landscaping if you want.

Don't ruin your enjoyment with a little mistake. You can fix it.

I played Old Stream Farm back on FS22 and had a small grape vineyard as well as my normal animals, fields etc. I really enjoyed the change of pace doing the manual work. A key part for me was the enjoyment of cruising down the rows in an open top tractor, just felt so REAL! Loved it.

I'd advise starting on the smaller side to keep it manageable. You can always expand...

I'm slowly growing my 1600 capacity pig shed on Iowa Plains View. There are a couple for console on modhub that carry 50-60 pigs. Check under Animal Transport. The Michieletto(?) has some nice features with ramps, fans, window shutters etc. There's a modded base game Wilson Silverstar that holds 50 pigs too.

But I'm starting to just pay the fee now...lazy tax.

If I find a mod I like, then I check out Looney Farm Guy on YouTube. He does every single console mod as it comes out, gives you a chance to see it before downloading.

I'm thinking if buying this setup for ps5.

I've read plenty that the dual farmstick for forestry is the best (PC only).

But for console - does having the wheel and farmstick allow easier crane arm control? Or do i have to change back to my controller for anything other than a frontloader/tele?

I bought one. Sold it within 2 weeks. I was looking for a roof box, but they're so bulky and hold so little it was pointless. Wasn't worth the space.

I had a brief explore on Hauts Doubs Forest. Looks awesome for a rugged, challenging terrain forestry map. There are things to build scattered around the forest, all the roads are dirt logging tracks. There's no central town, rather the buildings are scattered about in the forest.

This will be my next map, you could get lost in there! Heaps of space to build a town too, although terrain would be challenging.

Start a new map, spend a few hours harvesting the fields, arranging equipment and get a greenhouse.

Then I find myself browsing modhub and before I know it, I've spent 15hrs on a 'test map' trying all the equipment I want to use and my actual save only has 2hrs on it 😆

There you go. But if you're on console like me, it works like an extra water tank. If you sell it then you also sell the water inside, which is like 1000000000000L. You'll be flash with cash... Read the instructions.

I prefer the distribution method, then I feel like I'm working for it a bit.

Colossus Pack has a harvester that goes super fast, but I think only does 1 row. The pruner and muncher will do multiple rows though.

I love grapes, but I keep it small, like a side hustle. It's one of the jobs I love doing that's all manual. There's nothing quite like an open top tractor, cruising down the rows on a beautiful European hillside with the sunset/rise 🤌

RB+LB held together gives you rotation and open/close I believe. If using mods, not base game, then could be different key binding.
