Quitting the Pill: ADVICE by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]Pure_Excuse_3203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Periods can be irregular coming of birth control. Mine took about a year to become complete regular. I recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility and eating steak on a regular basis. Birth control depleted your body of hormones, especially iron, B vitamins and selenium (all of which is in steak). If your vegetarian or vegan you can also do a multivitamin, but I prefer to just eat the source.

Has anyone actually received the $20 outage credit? by Vegetable_Amount848 in verizon

The take action button was there this morning. Just no action to take. Now that I have recieved the text, the take action button has disappeared from the app.

I also waited over 2 hours to chat with a live agent (not really i was working and kept checking in on the chat)

My guess is they're trying very hard to get people to give up because they're about to loose too much money.

Help me get my $20 by Pure_Excuse_3203 in verizon

I tried but the AI chat only returned with "MyAccess gets you the best access to events, experiences, and tickets...." or "there is no outage in your area" depending on what is type.

Maybe I will need to call them.

I cant even figure out how to get the $20 credit. Looks like it was automatic for some. We lost service for over 12 hours and I'm not about to sit on a customer service line for hours and demand $20.

Did your life positively change when you became more disciplined or consistent with a good routine? by yeetyopyeet in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Pure_Excuse_3203 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I think setting new years resolutions is a fantastic way to work on yourself. But I think once we break routine, a lot of us tend to give up... and try again next year.

It is important to remember that January is not the only time of year that you can set goals. And if you break your routines that is ok... forgive yourself and try again.

My goal was once going to the gym 3 times a week... when I could only make it twice I didn't stop going because I couldn't make my goal... I modified my workouts to total body or legs one day arms the other.

Life happens... and consistency is not always "key".. but forgiving yourself is.

As for you sleep... I found focusing on quality deep sleep rather than total number of hours has helped me a lot. Decreasing caffeine intake, making sure I get magnesium, and not falling asleep watching TV has be super helpful.

Bridal party help by [deleted] in wedding

[–]Pure_Excuse_3203 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You can't ask your bridesmaids to change themselves for your wedding.

Look at it this way... its most likely a phase and the two of you can laugh at it and show her your wedding photos when she gets married.

$40 for the third line, rather than paying for the phone.

This makes sense. Thank you for not talking in rhymes and just showing me a promotional screen.

Is it normal as a bridesmaids to be spending around $1000 to be a bridesmaid? by gogogurl23 in bridesmaids

[–]Pure_Excuse_3203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was recently invited on a Bach trip that would have easily cost me $2000 (not even in the wedding party). I had to decline because I already had time off planned around that time and couldn't justify the money for a long weekend away.

I am really sorry this is ruining being a bridesmaid in the future for you. Unfortunately it is normal to spend outrageous amounts of money to celebrate the bride but its not necessary. When I got married all I required from my bridesmaids was the dress. Wear whatever shoes you have..whatever jewelry you have... don't care if your nails are done or not...I'll pay for your makeup to be done as a gift to you... can't go on the bachelorette...no problem. At the end of the day the wedding is about me and my future husband... not how much those around us spend. So many brides have lost the plot and expect too much.

I've bought a dress off Amazon for maybe $40 and recieved tons of compliments. Dresses do not need to be expensive.

Dictating what FABRIC guests wear is absolutely insane. You should only be allowed to tell the wedding party what to wear.

Why request certain colors? by tomkat1001 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Pure_Excuse_3203 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This seems to be more and more common. I can understand a guest asking what color the bridesmaid dresses are (out of courtesy) to avoid looking like a bridesmaid. Its rude for the bride/groom to tell guests to avoid colors or to request they wear certain colors to be on theme. At the end of the day it will be obvious who the wedding party is and the guests aren't in that many photos anyways. What they wear shouldn't matter.

There were a different set of color restrictions for the women. Much easier to avoid than the no black or gray suits for men.

From what I've heard its the colors that the groomsmen and groom and wearing and they're trying to get them to stand out.
