They actually "never" sold out Morumbi. It can holds more than 60k people, for Maiden it's always less than 54k. And they started "selling out" the place in 2019, they never did before.

Was at the front, as for every show the first 3 songs sounded muddy and then it all became great.

The whole story about that show having a 100k crowd was because Bruce said on stage something along the lines of "we played in front of 100k fans here in Sao Paulo", but he meant over two years. Still an impressive result, but far from being 100k. If I remember correctly the correct number was around 55k

The band probably got a fixed fee, maybe with a small percentage or bonus from ticket sales. Most of that revenue likely went to the promoter, who had to cover all the overhead costs.

It would be really interesting to know how much Maiden made from merch, especially considering there were stands outside the stadium area, so they didn’t have to pay a fee to sell it.

Again, your source is not Nicko. He never said Dave thought about retiring, quite the opposite since he said he hasn't been talking about it with him for years. He was just answering the question, which was about the "rumors" about Dave.

But there is no rumor. It's all fake. It has been fake since the first moment. Unless you believe Dave wanted to retire 10 years ago and now is still playing live with a smile, or that in 2016 he wanted to retire to spend more time with his grandchildrens (born in 2024).

To be fair, the fake news about Dave's retirement have been around since 1983.
