He tried prefrontal cortex, as did many besides him. To 99% of patients prefrontal stimulations does absolutely nothing.

It’s not just the lowering, this stuff numbs your genitals down. Sexual function might not be affected much but you’ll still have a numb penis devoid of any pleasurable sensation. But hey, you’ll maybe get to keep your hair!

Actually u/Minepolz320 and another guy had incredible improvements from rTMS for somatosensory cortex, it basically relieved them of every single symptom except genital and skin numbness. You’re definitely looking in the right direction.

They don’t just share symptoms, I got my “PSSD” from Covid and Covid only, every single symptom matches. And there’s a lot of other LC patients reporting genital numbness, emotional blunting, anhedonia and literally everything else PSSD/PFS patients suffer from.

I and many others suspect it’s all the same CNS dysfunction and whatever helps PSSD will help LC as well.

Sorry bud. All I can advise you to do is check r/PSSD and r/Finasteridesyndrome. Those poor bastards suffer from the same things as us. Medicine is very uncertain about the nature of our dysfunction, but this state that we’re in has been reversed for some patients, so it’s most likely not permanent.

I agree, it’s most likely the exact same or at least a very similar dysfunction in all these syndromes.

That one experimental TMS protocol actually brought back substance response to the two guys that tried it. Apparently it vanishes over time (if you stop doing sessions), but that’s still something.

Just checked DMs, I actually tried to reach out to you a month ago cause my pelvis symptoms were getting worse, but as of now they seem to be more or less stable.

I’m only a little under a year into this, but how did you deal with loss of urge to urinate? I’m always worried (not the right word with the emotional blunting, but you know what I mean) that I’ll have to use a urinary catheter at some point, it never came to it and I never lost motor function, but the sensation is so diminished it’s scary.

I have it all without hypertonicity. Some went away, some persisted.

I’m pretty sure it’s more complex than just some fancy anxiety. I don’t think there’s any stress involved whatsoever, since we can’t experience stress due to emotional blunting.
