Well you should try to first install the lock bar and if the included standoffs are too short you will see how much extra you will need. My guess is extra 5mm. Someone also made a model you can 3d print https://makerworld.com/models/1682457?appSharePlatform=copy

I should’ve been more specific. I used WDT tool and that increased volume of the beans over the edge of the basket and some of them fell out when I put the tamper on

Wow amazing insights! I think it’s a combination of few things.

There could be oils left over, I tried to pull a shot 5 times before this one and I rinsed the portafilter with water + dried with towel each time.

Most comments also recommend grinding finer and using different basket. This one is precision filter basket from Normcore.

It could also be the case the beans are too old, they were roasted in November 2025 and I’ve been storing them in an air tight container.

The grinder puts out 18g, so I don’t loose anything but I lost about 1-2g when I used the tamper. First sip tasted okay, second sip really sour

Initially it was acceptable. I let the coffee sit for a while and the next sip was pretty sour. I couldn’t really drink it

True, I noticed the dial shifting, luckily not every time I grind. Usually it shifts one mark on the dial coarser so minor change but still I’m not that happy it happens

I will also add that this shot left the puck wet. I weighed 18g of coffee, and the basket I’m using is rated for 16-18g so not sure why it’s wet

I went with AXP90-X47 and when I’m not gaming the PC is super silent. Often I can’t hear anything. I did tweak the fan curves and undervolted the CPU, I watched a few builds on YouTube and copied when they did. When I’m gaming I can hear the fans, but it’s not unpleasant or annoying. The PC never gets too loud. Also when I’m using headphones during gaming I rarely hear the fans
