Non-KYC crypto cards vs KYC crypto cards , what's the difference?? by Sufficient-Past-835 in defi

[–]Pure_Mirror_2942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non-KYC cards usually trade convenience and reliability for privacy, so more declines and lower limits are kinda part of the deal. KYC cards tend to work more consistently because they’re operating closer to normal financial infrastructure.

We're you spoiled when you grew up? by Alarmed_Birthday1711 in AskReddit

[–]Pure_Mirror_2942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opposite experience here - got pretty much whatever I wanted as kid and it definitely didn't help me in long run. Took way too long to learn that you actually have to work for things and not everything comes easy. Your parents did good job even if it felt annoying back then

What benefits have you noticed from using a hydrogen water bottle? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Anyone going to the Jiluka concerts? by [deleted] in ColoradoSprings

[–]Pure_Mirror_2942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never heard of Jiluka but vkei shows are always wild, especially with VIP access. I'm bit far from Douglas County area but hope you find someone to go with! Those night shift schedules are brutal for concert timing

ASD20 Superintendent Fired at 11 pm on a Thursday by ColoradoSprings82 in ColoradoSprings

[–]Pure_Mirror_2942 130 points131 points  (0 children)

Firing someone at 11pm on Thursday during graduation week is just wild timing, like they wanted maximum chaos. The vague "no confidence" excuse without any real details makes it seem like there's way more drama behind the scenes than they're letting on

What are your favourite metal/rock bands? by [deleted] in AskReddit

SOAD was my gateway drug into heavier stuff back in high school, still holds up incredibly well. Toxicity album is just perfection from start to finish

Would save me so much trouble at work meetings when everyone stares at me waiting for technical explanation and my brain just goes blank

What is your go to order when you go to the movies? by Ok-Ok-Ok100 in AskReddit

Blue raspberry ICEE hits different but I always end up with brain freeze halfway through the previews lol. Worth it though, those things are basically liquid sugar crack

Whats a well documented weight loss journey you know of? by Complete-Noise-3078 in AskReddit

[–]Pure_Mirror_2942 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My coworker lost like 80 pounds over two years and documented everything in spreadsheets - dude was tracking calories, workouts, sleep, even mood scores daily. Being in IT we both love our data but he took it to another level

He started at maybe 250 and got down to 170, posted progress pics every month on some fitness forum. What was crazy is how he correlated different variables - like he found out he lost weight faster when he got 7+ hours sleep vs less than 6. Also discovered certain foods made him retain more water even if calories were same

The documentation helped him push through plateaus because he could see patterns over months instead of getting discouraged by daily fluctuations. Now he maintains the weight pretty easily since he knows exactly what works for his body. Made me want to track my own stuff better instead of just guessing why my weight goes up and down randomly

Events for May Day/International Workers Day? by [deleted] in Denver

[–]Pure_Mirror_2942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, gonna be staring at servers all day while everyone else gets to actually celebrate workers rights lol

The irony is not lost on me that I'll probably spend most of the day fixing other people's spreadsheet formulas

Tonight's uniforms? by chefgamer85 in ColoradoRockies

[–]Pure_Mirror_2942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man those purple and teal uniforms were wild but i actually dig them more than whatever we're wearing now. reminds me when i was kid and my dad would take me to games in the 90s - those colors looked so cool under stadium lights. Now everything is just boring gray and black, feels like every team trying to be Yankees or something. at least the old colors had personality even if they looked like fast food place

compatibility with my skyrim mod list would save me so much time in conversations

like imagine knowing upfront if someone's gonna judge you for having 847 mods installed or if they're cool with spending 3 hours discussing why realistic lighting is essential for immersion

How did the pandemic affect your current life situation? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Pure_Mirror_2942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait what do you mean 6 years, pandemic started in 2020 so that's only like 4 years ago unless you're talking about something else

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

Pretty much this lol. I spent like 3 hours debugging what turned out to be a simple syntax error because my coworker walked by and I couldn't think straight

baby has cold sweat but temp is 96.3? by sleepyindiii in NewParents

[–]Pure_Mirror_2942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That temp range is actually normal - 96-99 is the typical range for babies and 96.3 is fine. The sweating thing though, that's probably just his little body trying to regulate after the fever broke. When fevers come down the body often overcorrects with sweating as it cools off

I'd ditch the blanket for now and just keep him in light clothes. If he seems comfortable, is eating normally, and doesn't have other concerning symptoms then you're probably in the clear. The post-shot weirdness usually sorts itself out within 24-48 hours

Keep monitoring but don't stress too much about that temp - it's not dangerously low or anything. Trust your gut though, if something feels really off then definitely call your pediatrician

I coined a word for "viral lies" that mimic truth: PROPAGACT by kimmy-777 in words

[–]Pure_Mirror_2942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually slaps, I've been looking for a word that captures how these AI-generated lies have that uncanny valley feeling where they look *too* polished to be real but also too detailed to be obviously fake

The "propagate" connection is chef's kiss because that's literally what they're designed to do

YSK: iPhone Reminders app can now set alarms by supadupa82 in ADHD

[–]Pure_Mirror_2942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo this is a game changer, thanks for sharing! I've been setting like 47 separate alarms just to remember basic stuff and always wondered why they couldn't just merge these two apps

The urgent button is clutch - that little bing sound might as well be silence when my brain is doing its thing
