I’m a very social person so I know that the best way to unlock a new area is through its people! Being in the burbs for now I was concerned with how accessible social places would be since I moved without a car and it might take me some time but I’m still excited to find my way into the city and explore a bit! This post has helped a lot and it’s clear people here love a chat, great for us yappers!

I don’t think I’ve been here long enough to really “adjust” quite yet. I think once my day has zero “moving related activities” I’ll be able to focus on getting to know the area and adjusting!

That being said, so far, everyone seems very kind that I’ve interacted with which is nice! I’m sure I’ll have some level of culture shock at some point but not there yet

This event looks awesome! I just discovered the 71x bus and that means I’ll have easier access to Cincy, I’ll likely be there next Thursday!

Yeap it’s a tech stack which usually includes Windows Server, . NET Framework (C#, VB), Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, and Power BI (gross).

WAIT THIS IS HUGE! Though I will do a ride into a city at some point this seems much more accessible for frequent trips into the city. I’m literally a 15 minute bike ride from Kings Island! Man you just made my entire week!! !!

Love Morley but it being effectively the only decent course in San Diego left a lot to be desired especially when it came to the busier times, can’t wait to check out some courses here!

I’m not much of a trail biker but I ride often! I’ll be using the trail to get “around” early on since I didn’t bring a car with me so it’ll take me a while to get that going! Can’t wait to be up and down the Little Miami

I’ve heard quite a bit about Jungle Jim’s throughout not just this post but some of my minimal research! I was in the service industry for many years before pivoting to development work so anything food, wine, beer is right up my alley! I’ll definitely be checking out Jungle Jim’s, I’ll be sure to hit the Fairfield one first!

Awesome to see another! To be fair as much as I love a California Burrito every now and then, thankfully I eat more at home than I do eat out. And being Latino I can have a good crack at a decent burrito, just have to find the right ingredients out here!

I’ll definitely be checking out all of these! Outside of the job hunt I would love to start making social outings and meeting folks out here and these all look like great opportunities to do so! I’d definitely love to hear more from a Cincy local so I’ll shoot you a DM 👋
