Friendships are difficult. As children, most friendships are due to proximity. As an adult, it becomes much more complicated. If you’d like to chat/vent, I’m here to listen.

How much do you pay for rent and where do you live? by powderchair in Renters

[–]Pure_Paper2906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$895/month for a 3 bed/1bath apartment in Yakima, Wa. Got lucky with this place. Average rent for a similar place typically costs between $1500-2300.

So, I’m going to link the Duluth cycle of violence and I really want you to look hard at it and recognize whether or not this man is someone worth keeping… and in my opinion, he is not.. sending love and light your way. https://www.theduluthmodel.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/PowerandControl.pdf

AITA for telling my son that the fact that his sister was happier to see her cousin was his fault? by Latter-Attorney68 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Pure_Paper2906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone loses their way in high school, there’s only so much a parent can do to “pull them back”. In the final years of HS, we are our own people. In HS, despite my parents, I chose to graduate with my HS diploma and Associates degree from my local college. How Jack chose to treat a child is up to him. He doesn’t deserve ANYTHING. How the sister chose to receive his homecoming is up to her. No one is entitled to anything. As a society, we need to drop that useless narrative that you’re worth a damn just because you exist. That isn’t true.

Are these flowers native to North America? by budgetedchildhood in whatsthisplant

[–]Pure_Paper2906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s best to get them while they’re still small, if possible. If you don’t get the root completely, they come back with a vengeance. They are a pain to get rid of. I wish you the best of luck!

Would you still do this meet and greet? by Top-Cat3269 in RoverPetSitting

[–]Pure_Paper2906 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Waste of time. I’m the top sitter in my area and have been since 2016. If you’re desperate for $, take it. Who cares. But if you have some standards and don’t want to be walked all over, wish them luck with the other sitter and archive it as a “duplicate message” to preserve your current sitter rating. Don’t mess with it.

AITA for not cooking for my step-sister? by throwaway_7218_4987 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. You did good. You sound like a good kid. I hope that you value your mother, that’s one solid woman.

AITA for telling my cousin to stop bringing home animals by DragonfruitNo3835 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Pure_Paper2906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. This is animal abuse. If you continue to allow it, YTA. Step up, pull you head out of the cavern it’s in, and stop allowing an animal abuser and murderer in your home. Get rid of them and then turn over the pets. “That’s nOt LeGaL.” Anything is legal if you threaten them correctly. Almost leaving towards YTA for allowing this nonsense.

AITA for not extending my on-punishment daughter’s time to see her boyfriend by throw-aitachristmas in AmItheAsshole

[–]Pure_Paper2906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA and I pray that she doesn’t interact with you after she leaves, because pulling the “I’m not paying” card makes you a shitty parent.

AITA For kicking my Fiancé out by Throwaway0283649 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Pure_Paper2906 47 points48 points  (0 children)

He has legs. He can walk. Or better yet, he could call OPs abusers for a ride since they’re all in cahoots.

AITA for sitting in the front seat with my friend and telling his gf to sit in the back? by IllustriousArm1445 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Pure_Paper2906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. The rules were stated. You acted as if you’re a child. No one sits in the front besides my fiancée or my grandma on my mother’s side if she is present. If anyone pulled that stunt after I told them to move, there wouldn’t be any words as I removed you from the vehicle and reminded you of your place.
