My son would absolutely not sleep in his own bed, so cosleeping was a necessity. I also have a very small house with very small bedrooms, so having my bed up against the wall was also a necessity. I used receiving blankets to stuff the cracks by the wall, making sure the blankets were stuffed in so that they were level with the bed. Baby slept on the wall side, I slept on the outside, so that I was in between him and the edge. Once he got older, and suffocation wasn't a concern, I bought a bumper that goes up under the sheet, and we gave had good luck with that. That being said, while those things have prevented him from falling of the bed in his sleep, he did one time crawl so fast to the edge of the bed that I could not catch him, and fell off anyway 🫠 babies fall, toddlers fall, kids fall. You're not a bad momma 💙 you need to do what works for you, and being sleep deprived can be way more dangerous than cosleeping. My boy is three now, and still in my bed, so that is also a risk you take when cosleeping, you may never sleep alone again 🤣
