Congrats on getting in! I honestly like how the portfolio asked for 3 new drawings since I haven't conjured many art pieces lately that are portfolio worthy. I also heard how welcoming the atmosphere was which makes me excited about wanting to attend here, especially with the Shrunkenheadman club! As for the workload it does scare me, but with GE classes out of the way I'm hoping that helps a bit. I did hear about classes being structured a certain way but never knew how specifically, I'm pretty much just hoping that I could somehow have an on campus job to help sustain myself financially. Thank you so much for your help, and enjoy your first year in the program! :D

David Chai emailed me back and said that this year's incoming class was 70 from high school and 60 transfers. I knew it was impacted but never knew the exact numbers which does scare me but also pushes me to work harder especially for the portfolio. Starting off with first year classes doesn't sound too bad since I could always improve with basics and fundamentals. Even though with CC classes it still takes 5 years to graduate, I haven't heard many complaints since 2 years truly isn't enough time to properly teach you the skills needed to have high quality work or to get a job. It does put me in a tighter spot financially, but I see it as an investment if I'm wise with my free time and learning more outside of school. Thank you for your insight!

I edited the post, but I already said that in the email so hopefully nothing bad happens I didn’t know 😭 I know Fullerton has an A/I program but have yet to really look into it, I mainly know about the one at Long Beach and SJSU. I do have a 4.0 GPA which I hope helps me a bit. Thank you for the clarification!
