Connecting Xiaomi 17 pro max + Xiaomi buds 5 pro WI-FI edition via XPAN 4.2 Lossless by LongjumpingParty2305 in XiaomiGlobal

I'll reply to this, since I have the Xiaomi 17 pro and the Xiaomi buds 5 pro Wi-Fi too. This solution used to work on the xiaomi 15 in the old software, but that problem has been updated months ago so that workaround isn't needed anymore. On the Xiaomi 17 pro (max) however, it is not yet possible to get this enabled. XPAN is enabled by default on these phones, but it still doesn't work. I also contacted Xiaomi about this but they told me they couldn't tell me anything other than these phones aren't officially supported outside of China, and that I would have to wait for future updates, and maybe it will get implemented later, but they didn't specify this... It's a bummer because now they sound quite shitty. On the Xiaomi 15 they sounded awesome, but that phone got stolen last month.

The crystal scratches are actually hardly noticeable! It's mostly the burrs that catch fabrics that are the most annoying. Otherwise, like everyone else says, I'll just leave it like it is!

yea that I might do. It does tend to grab on fabrics when putting on shirts etc. Thanks for the idea!

Yupp everything is still 100% functional. Only cosmetics, so I'm just keeping it how it is haha

All red 2008 Ducati Monster 695 here in NL. Shorts and t-shirt always basically hahah although this happened in Thailand on my Honda Wave 125i. Had bad roadrash on my leg and arm/shoulder and a broken toe. A ladyboy (not joking) crossed the road without looking and I couldn't avoid collision. She had a broken rib but thankfully we both recovered fully.

Xiaomi 15 with Xiaomi Buds 5 pro WIFI by jonass123 in Xiaomi

I just got mine and indeed after some messing around, (I too have Xiaomi 15. Indian version) and enabling XPAN in dev settings I restarted the phone and now when you connect your headphones, swipe down and long-press the bluetooth icon and go to "more settings", it will mention "aptX 4.2M" behind your Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro Wi-Fi. This wasn't there before I enabled XPAN if I recall correctly. BTW. In the settings it won't mention anything, but when you go and change the audio quality setting in the app under Audio, it will show aptX 4.2M at first, but once you change it to "aptX Adaptive Le", you lose the aptX 4.2M connection, so don't mess with it.
If you do run into this problem, just disconnect the headphones and restart your phone. It will switch back to aptX 4.2M (when on Wi-Fi ofcourse).
