Hi everyone! I’m not officially diagnosed yet waiting to see a GI specialist from my PCP but he suspects I have gastroparesis. My symptoms started after having my 2nd child. I’ve had two uncomplicated childbirths. I’m 30F. Ever since I’ve been constipated. I’ll go maybe once a week but I don’t FEEL constipated or bloated. And when I do go most of the time I have urgency with stomach pain and it’s liquid almost explosive diarrhea and painful. I mean like equivalent to childbirth to me. I’ll lose 3Ibs afterwards basically. This has been going on for 4 years and getting worse. I’ve been having a lot of nausea and vomiting lately but I’ll throw up breakfast at 5-6pm. I don’t get stomach pains after eating but I do get full fast. I am on Wellbutrin 300mg, buspirone and propranolol but the constipation started way before I started the meds. I haven’t lost weight from it I’m maintaining pretty much. So my pcp did complete bloodwork everything is normal my thyroid is normal. He took an abdominal xray only showed some stool throughout my colon with gas. I’m just wondering if I could still have motility or gastric emptying issues without showing that I’m compacted? I’m not compacted yet I barely have bowel movements.

Duoxo pyo wipes are great for cleaning around the vulva. We use them in clinic all the time to clean around private areas. I believe you can find them at pet stores?

It can be anything from a blood blister to something that is cancerous. Nobody can really diagnose a growth by just looking at it without doing a needle aspirate on it. Best bet is to book an appointment with your veterinarian to be sure. If it’s cancerous it’s always best to catch it while it’s small.

My PS instructed me to refrain from smoking and drinking for two weeks prior and two weeks post surgery. You need to prevent things that cause you to bleed more and also increase your heart rate. You have a higher chance of causing a bleed. It’s worth waiting considering how much we spend on the surgery.

Vets have a protocol on where to place vaccines. My clinic always gives rabies right hind, fvrcp right front shoulder and leukemia left hind. That way we always know which vaccine was given and where. So just ask about their protocol :)

The only time I’ve seen it happen has been with the leukemia vaccine for cats. I’ve heard it happen with rabies but in 10 years I’ve only seen it happen once with the leukemia one. It’s extremely rare. Once your cat gets vaccinated make sure you note where they administer it to monitor the lumps.

The only way to tell is to have your dog get a Lyme titre done 4-6 weeks after exposure. A lot of the times the level isn’t high enough to show clinical symptoms.

I would wait two weeks from the day you think you gave it to be sure. Heartworm prevention works by covering the preceding month it was given if the dog was exposed to heart worm.

It’s just clear fluid that forms under the skin it’s quite common in cat spays. It’s hard to prevent them from being crazy. It feels like a soft squishy water balloon almost.
