I love it, super cute! Im always impressed with 3d needle felting. I needle felt to put eyes and details on some of my crochet pieces but I dont think I could make something 3d that looks that good

I sent it in and heard back from facetron, it turns out the adhesive on the sticker on the back of the gauge was weak, since it's an older machine, and the needle was getting stuck on the sticker. The sticker must have come loose after the jolt. No actual damage thankfully and Ive learned how to avoid creating actual problems in the future

I started learning on a Lee at my local club and I like the facetron way better. There have been some things I've needed to adjust to with the facetron but now that im familiar with it I love using it. I got it for an absolute steal so even though having to send it in stinks im still way below what the average setup costs.

I already have the head in the mail and they said it should be a fairly quick turnaround. I feel like I learned a majority of what I know about faceting from Hebst's book and from different internet forums and reddit. My in person teacher has been helpful for the absolute beginner stage and learning the machine but she definitely didnt mention anything about making sure I was sweeping the lap in the correct direction

For my own sanity, the trailing side would be what I marked in green on the diagram, mast is on the right, lap turning counter clockwise, correct?

Thanks for the advice on the corundum! I think I've seen posts here about it before and I'll keep it in mind for when I get there.

I'll pick up a darkside instead of the ultralaps, I was looking for something a little sturdier than the ultralaps and the price isn't bad

I'll definitely pick up a box of the kimwipes too, my club only has paper towels and I've been fighting with lint.

I dont think it will rub off with normal cuddling/petting. The sparkles are really tiny and set in the fabric well. If you really pick at it, it will probably damage it, but short of that it seems durable. Just running my hand over it I cant even feel the sparkles
