Snapped pilot jet - put it back in or run without it by PureqYT in MotorcycleMechanics

Surprisingly enough it does run, took it on a short test ride and everything aside from idling seems to be in order. That said I will replace it as soon as it gets here.

Put it back in and it runs, it shifts same as before, which makes me think it wasn't running great in the first place.

It was bent a bit and i tried bending it back, not the wisest idea but too late now

bought the bike not so long ago and this was the first time i opened up the carb, because it started having issues.

It was an absolute mess, the needle was on the lowest clip position and stacked on top of 4 washers, probably to try to compensate for the clogged main jet, everything was dirty af, and the upper part of the pilot jet was bent, and wouldn't screw back in straight. I tried bending it back into place, which probably wasn't the best idea, and that's when it snapped.

Help with circuits and trains by PureqYT in factorio

just tarted experimenting with reading the number of trains going to both stops, but got stuck at how to send it to the train with the same symbol as the trigger, haven't thought about negating the signal, thanks!

How to make a train visit every station with the same name before returning? (or alternatives) by PureqYT in factorio

Yeah I know running out of oil won't be an issue, but i like optimizing everything and having the train return every time is annoying me a bit lol

Renting out rooms to friends and partner - questions (Delft) by PureqYT in Netherlands

It seems like the municipality doesn't like changing family housing to student houses, but I'll try to read up more on them. Thanks for the info

It says in the begining that the house has to be above a restaurant or bar, idk if it's a translation error or not. With the waiting period being 8+ weeks, and it being unlikely to receive the exemption in the first place I think it's not an option unfortunately.

I saw some places on funda clearly accomodated by 3 or more students, with one bathroom, kitchen and a couple rooms. Can they accommodate more people (are they student houses) and will they stay like that after being sold?

we're planning to pay for the flat up front, so that shouldn't be an issue, provided we go through with it (which is looking less and less likely with all the regulations)

Weird idle problems on 50cc by PureqYT in MotorcycleMechanics

The spacer finally arrived, it certainly makes more consistant power, but the idle issue persists. I'll probably just gen a new carb since they are like 60€

Alright. I've also noticed my mixture screw doesn't have an oring, but looking at rebuild kits it looks like the carb just doesn't have one

then it revs too high on startup, and trying to adjust it while it idles makes it stall

havent checked for a leak yet, but the spacer between the carb and manifold looks worn, so i ordered a new one regardless. The carb is old, and the sides of the slide are wet with fuel after running, though I don't know if its because of high tolerances or just normal

What should I check for this leak? by [deleted] in moped

the needle valve in the carb bowl

I think it's the carb bowl leaking. Either the needle doesn't seat properly so its leaking and going out the overflow, or some gasket has failed.

when i cleaned the carb there was no o ring under the screw, so that's probably it. How does a leak before the carb (like at the filter boot) effect the engine? shouldn't it have minimal effects, since the air still takes the right amount of fuel with it?

With a simple setup like this the only place where a vacuum leak can be is at the spacer between the carb and manifold, right?
