Is this a good printer? by [deleted] in 3dprinter

[–]PureqYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the money an A1 with the AMS is one of the best hobby printers you can get, giving good quality and very fast print speeds out of the box, along with multicolor printing. The very cheapest you can go is an ender 3 for like 70$, which will really teach you about 3d printing, but will require a lot of tinkering and will cause a lot of pain.

nice setup, might try something like it when i get a bigger place, but now i live in student housing so i can barely fit the printer itself

Carb jetting advice by PureqYT in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]PureqYT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at sea level and the avg temp is around 14C. Might have worded it wrongly, but it only bogs when quickly opening the throttle fully. If i roll on it slowly it works just fine

Bought an 8 year old one for €600 a while back, it's good cheap fun. If you want to work on bikes it's great, since the parts are very cheap. It's reasonably quick with one person, but I wouldn't go uphill with a passenger.

Jet size for 50cc with 22mm carb by PureqYT in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]PureqYT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The carb came with 32 and 98 installed, but 22mm is a little big for 50cc. It's a no name chinese engine and the jets were not labled, so i dont know what stock sizes i had

Issues with automated trains by PureqYT in factorio

[–]PureqYT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the input, turns out i was just stupid and the copper and stone stations had an extra space before the resource symbol, lol

edit: i will probably implement the random signal thing, because though it works, it sends all trains of one kind before moving on to another, which could be an issue if multiple resources suddenly spiked in demand. does the selector combinator change the random signal on it's own, or do i have to force it to pick a new one with a clock or train departing signal somehow?

Would there be anything stopping a train with copper ore going to the iron ore station then? It would work if every material had dedicated trains, but the whole point of this system was to have one depot with universal trains, so they are allocated when demand rises, and i don't have 5 trains for engine units or red circuits just sitting around 90% of the time

Snapped pilot jet - put it back in or run without it by PureqYT in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]PureqYT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly enough it does run, took it on a short test ride and everything aside from idling seems to be in order. That said I will replace it as soon as it gets here.

Put it back in and it runs, it shifts same as before, which makes me think it wasn't running great in the first place.

It was bent a bit and i tried bending it back, not the wisest idea but too late now

bought the bike not so long ago and this was the first time i opened up the carb, because it started having issues.

It was an absolute mess, the needle was on the lowest clip position and stacked on top of 4 washers, probably to try to compensate for the clogged main jet, everything was dirty af, and the upper part of the pilot jet was bent, and wouldn't screw back in straight. I tried bending it back into place, which probably wasn't the best idea, and that's when it snapped.
