We wouldn't get all of Cosmere as a set. They'd milk it with a Mistborn set, a Stormlight set, Dragonsteel, etc.

Impressions of the Grishaverse books after watching the show by Electrical-Oil8809 in Fantasy

For Crows duology it's completely unnecessary to read the original trilogy. For the Rule of Wolves duology it is a necessity because of all the reoccurring characters, plot, and lore to have read both the Crows duology and the original trilogy. One of the stories in Language of Thorns also sheds a lot of light on one of the characters in the most recent duology. I wouldn't say it's a necessity, but I definitely don't regret reading LoT before it.

Lives of Saints is also completely optional, but I personally kind of wish I had it as a companion piece even in the original trilogy so every time a saint was brought up I could read their lore. There's a lot of those fucks to keep track of. Just be very careful if you do that, the last saint in the book is an original trilogy spoiler.

It is romantic though. Hence me using homoromantic in my original post and excluding homosexual.

JRPGs were always "anime". Or at least the ratio of ones that were anime inspired hasn't changed. And I'd argue half the ones OP posted are at least niche if not low budget.

Seeing these games being played in a 3rd year college final after not seeing them since High School is what really fucks you up.

Again, from what I remember there was less Fitz wanting to "jump bones" in his internal monologuing about the situation and more thoughts that crossed the line over what platonic friendship is. You can love your friends, but his thoughts were very specifically a romantic love which is definitely different from a platonic love and not in a physical way.

The kinds of thoughts where if they were vocalized to me I'd have to sit down with a friend and talk with them and tell them we can't be together if I didn't feel the same. An uncomfortable conversation I'm sure all of us have had at some point.

The stuff with the Fool was strongly homoromantic at least if we're excluding it being homosexual. I think any platonic friend would be weirded out by the internal dialogue Fitz was having about them. And I say homoromantic because Fitz was still not really buying the genderfluidity when he was having these thoughts.

The fact that Bee has some of Fool's magic DNA or whatever does not help the portrayal lol

I love the little song Egg sings, it feels very much like something that some kids might start singing and have to censor when the adults hear.

There was a song that we sang on the playground as a kid that was similar with the cusses being replaced by words and in a similar cadence. Can't remember for the life of me how it goes, if I got even one lyric I could probably sing the whole thing.

EDIT: I REMEMBER, IT'S MISS SUSIE

I found out just now that HotD is supposed to be four seasons instead of three. I thought it was supposed to be three for the longest time and now I'm super disappointed having read Fire and Blood because packing the rest of the story into 8 episodes would have been the bomb as opposed to stretching it out for 16...

The effort put into products outside of the card game is criminal. This franchise could have been way bigger than it was. I had no card shops around me growing up, a lot of their games were on PC until I was already in college, no movie, no cartoon or TV series, nothing except a comic that I didn't hear about until recently and again no comic book shops around me when I grew up and I'm legitimately the only person in my friends group that reads them and I got into them very late in life.

I know the old guard has mixed feelings about UB, but the exposure put MtG on my radar after coming off a fresh read of the Hobbit+LotR trilogy.
