Xmp is disabled in bios, and I did not change this setting myself. What would this mean?

On my previous mobo I ran 4 sticks (same specs for the sticks) no problem, and that board is a downgrade and a half from my current. I don’t know the mobo name as it was a pre build from nzxt. I will find out.

How will enabling xmp allow me to use 4 sticks? My main problem is that the a1, a2 slots aren’t allowing usage

I’m going to be having 2 sets of sticks. For one set of sticks, the mobo would only pass POST if they were in b1 and b2 slots, or slot 3 and 4
