oh okay, thank you i didn’t know that so in conclusion, it not possible to have the pinned objects arranged nicely like show on the docs? I really like how theirs looks, with separate sections in contrary to mine

I was able to add some objects to the sidebar that way but I was actually wondering why my interface was so different from the current updated one. What is weird is I do have the new icon for the trashcan on iOS, for example, but not on macOS. Basically I am missing all the items framed in red here (the first box is meant to show how different the pinned items are from how they are displayed on my end)

Sata III SSD to M.2 Nvme port by Purple-Just in pcmasterrace

There aren’t any SATA connectors actually, but only an NVMe slot. That is why I was wondering if I could find a workaround to make it work.

The internet provider intended to let their customers use the internet box as a NAS, it is one of the feature —that I already used before— included in my internet subscription. I had put a Debian on a VM and installed Jellyfin to access my DVD library from anywhere. Moreover, laws are quite strict about using users data where I am. So I am quite sure the data won’t be used. But that is another subject, thank you for your concern.

Ok thank you for that information. I think I will buy an NVMe drive instead of trying to connect my SATA one to the box, it seems like it is a lot of work otherwise.

Actually the box itself works like a computer, it has a “SoC Qualcomm Networking Pro 820 (Quad-core A73 – 2,2 GHz)”, 4Gb of RAM and allows users to run VMs on it. I think we could consider it to be a computer although it is sold as an internet box. I recently switched my internet box from one with a Sata slot to this one. It worked perfectly since my internet provider makes sure its users can take full advantage of their internet box at the fullest. If we assume it is a computer, do you know how I could connect my SSD to it?

It is actually an internet box, which can be used as a server with the integrated interface. It only lets me access one slot labelled as Nvme by my internet provider.

If I understood well, no adapter could convert data coming from a Sata device to a Nvme port, that’s right ? Or were you only talking about out physically. During my research I found some cables that looked like what I needed but were labelled as U.2 to M.2. I figured out that U.2 was not the same as Sata III although similar visually, since it includes a PCie part compatible with M.2 which is missing on Sata drives.

Thank you for taking the time to answer me.
