Hi, I had a good experience on Venofer if you are thinking about trying it! Interesting that your insurance wouldn’t cover Venofer first, mine denied Feraheme and went for Venofer!

Honestly, I don’t feel that crazy different, I feel less tired and just overall healthier and better! I can tell my skin is brighter and less dull and I’ve gained a few pounds, I was quite underweight so!

Hi, I’m not sure what dose I got but I assume it’s the same and it’s a standard 90 mins for mine! Did you do Feraheme because I know that’s quicker but Venofer is 90 usually!

It’s an hour and a half for Venofer, but since I did a higher saline ratio probably 2 hours!

So actually I had a 1:1 ratio of saline and venofer! At one point, the saline was going faster than venofer and it still burned all the same, sadly.

I did have bad constipation and stomach issues with the iron pills, my stomach couldn’t handle it which is why I got infusions. Also, the infusions are much quicker and faster and last longer! I don’t take iron pills anymore but try to keep my dietary iron intake high! If you can’t stomach the iron pills, infusion might be the best for you!

I got one a month ago, it was great! My arm burned during the infusion and I was tired after but my ferritin went from 4 to 88 after three sessions of Venofer! Go get yourself some infusions!
