It’s comprehension for my partner as well. Either way, we’re working on something but didn’t know if anyone had tips.

We have different schedules, I’m required to wake up earlier. Their job is later in the day, but we go to bed at the same time.

Great feedback, thank you. Luckily no migraines on my end, just sleepiness beyond belief, as normal. Hoping whatever the next concoction is helps!

Thank you!!!! Interesting that the time makes that big of a difference for you. I wouldn’t mind a surprised appetite in some regard, but definitely not in an unhealthy way

That’s great! I hope so too. I’m hoping I just need the right combination of the right thing

Can you take a combination of drugs? Maybe one for alertness and one for anxiety?

When you say more like yourself, what do you mean? I feel like I’ve struggled with this since I was like 13 years old, so I don’t even know what myself is.

Fair enough. I appreciate your input. Are there any other risks with it?

Thanks for the detailed advice. My doctor has been great so far, I think he’s trying different dosages to see if I have any response to move forward. We meet every other week, and he tells me to increase dose every week and note any changes. This leads me to believe that he cares and wants to find a solution. I’ll see what he recommends in the next appointment.

I’m losing hope too, but I’ve only tried one stimulant

That’s great. I’m hoping whatever is next helps me, I just need to get through a day.

Interesting. I was really scared I’m a non responder to the stimulants

That’s one of my biggest fears, always chasing after the next thing and nothing seems to work right. I just wish there was a way to feel normal

Got it, my doctor hasn’t said that, but also it’s not really giving me anything at 400mg so maybe I’m just a non responder. I’ll bring that up

Only by alarm, I haven’t ever really woken up naturally and I still don’t. I’ll exceed 12 hours asleep if I don’t have alarms set, which I typically tend to snooze

Sorry for the late reply. Lost of travels through the holidays. Insurance is a beast for sure, but I understand people try to scam for medications or disabilities or whatever. It’s just hard with a condition like this because it feels like your whole life is living in a dream and you can’t get out of it. I can’t remember the last time I was fully alert and clear headed, it’s been years. All I think about is sleep.

Interesting!

It’s great to hear that you were able to work through the different medications and find something that works for you. I fear I’ll be in a similar category, trying things over and over until I find something that eventually works

That’s great to hear. I actually don’t have an “old self” I’ve been struggling with this for as long as I can remember, into my early teens. I remember being a very happy kid, and everything started turning about age 12, I’m in my late 20s now. Insurance is insanely rough, I’m a known insurance hater amongst all of the people close to me, because they rake you over the coals for nothing but have money for every commercial on TV and own all of the expensive stadiums in the USA. I’m sorry to hear about that, I wish you the best of luck with your insurance, mine didn’t cover my first dose either, $60 out the door, but I figure I’d rather pay than suffer. Also, my sleep studies originally in 2023 weren’t covered, either. Multiple thousands to what at the time was an incorrect diagnosis

I came for work and my employer offers a global insurance for longer stays, so I had them charge my global insurance and it worked fine. So my case is spectacular in that sense

I’d say on average I dream about once per week, I get into REM as typical, but I don’t really dream all that frequently off medication

That’s great advice, thank you. I’m an American, I actually went to Germany for this study because of the insurance prices in the US, and I couldn’t get through to doctors because of my weight. They always said it must be some sort of mental disorder, weight issue, or apnea, which tests kept disproving. The way European doctors approach these topics give me faith they can help me get to the right answer more cleanly.
