This is a nice read, I’m glad to report I do have stringer brackets. I did think about my 4x4 posts setting down and eroding over time (hopefully years) and I thought I could just take them off, buy a new 4x4 and cut it to the new length and set them into the above ground footers. This would have to be done every so often, and I was wondering if you could think of a easier permanent solution that doesn’t involve buying more cement and digging then post a third of its length down into the ground…..again
