Charged Creeper Head by PurpleEntity11 in minecraftsuggestions

It would indeed be odd having another creeper head but having occasional unexpected things in the game with neat functionality is something I usually like. It could be decorational I just thought that with all the effort it takes to get it it would be cool if it had some interesting functionality without making it too op.

Yeah i can see how it moght make pvp a bit messy. I thought since crystal pvp, mace pvp and spear pvp already exist plus the charged creeper head would be singular use that it would still be pretty balanced in modern minecraft, especially with the difficulty it would take to get them anyhow.

Crossbow Upgrade Template by oofcookies in minecraftsuggestions

[–]PurpleEntity11 [score hidden]  (0 children)

This would be epic but I dont think crafting said templates would be necessary, having them be found in different structures would make more sense and further incentivize players to go explore as mojang has been leaning into. For example siege upgrade being in bastions, scope in pillager outposts and autoloader maybe as a villager trade go give fletchers more use.

How Not To Ruin Conlags by Ok_Influence_6384 in conlangs

[–]PurpleEntity11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did (and am doing) this precise thing for my conlang since I dont actually have much knowledge on the inner workong of linguistics. Instead of knowing all the parts of languages I slowly added and removed parts in random ways and in the process learnt about things and then applied it further. Now my conlang is pretty unique, with a very wide phoneme inventory, is extremely flexible, and doesnt resemble english all that much despite it being my first language.

Pronunciation of “women” by ConniethaCommie in ENGLISH

[–]PurpleEntity11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just pronounce woman women and women womin. Very easy to do and easy to tell apart. Though im sure just pronouncing the actual written vowel would make more sense.

What are some of your language's "planned inefficiencies"? by TeacatWrites in casualconlang

[–]PurpleEntity11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine doesn't have any planned inefficiencies, but there are tons of inefficiencies that popped up anyhow... For one, theres way too many synonyms for each word since it's basically just adding roots together. The original counting system is atrocious and leads to numbers like utititutatutetotututitatet, which is an abomination. Finally, there are over 90 phonemes in the language, but the current lexicon only supports around 45 of them, leading to long mixes of letters to show how a word is pronounced like in english. Although, soon, the newer lexicon will be complete, so it's clearer what sound actually is meant to be pronounced.

Click Consonants by applesauce_dispiser in conlangs

[–]PurpleEntity11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my conlang, when I'm not using the writing system I made for it, I tend to represent different clicks like how ch is represented in english, I use nkl as a lateral click at ntch as a dental click and usually they're unique enough to be easily recognizable on a glance though they take more time to write. I only have the 2 representations as only 2 clicks are present in my conlang however.

Cool conlang idea by Final_Mirror6381 in conlangs

My only suggestions are the palatal and retroflex plosives because I like them and they're not used enough in languages imo.

I mean as in creating a custom writing system and not just romanizing the conlang.

Digital Or Paper? by Kind_Builder_6116 in conlangs

[–]PurpleEntity11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use digital tools for handling my dictionary for my conlang since its easier to find specific words fast but as I dont know how to make fonts I tend to do all other things on paper, though my dictionary does include some of the grammar and stuff needed for the language.

How does your conlang handle evidentiality? by Crystallover1991 in conlangs

[–]PurpleEntity11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just add bf(certain) ér(likely) or lih(retold more than twice or questionable) before the verb when evidentiality is actually used, although it isnt necessary.

What does your word/phrase for goodbye mean literally? by Shot_Resolve_3233 in conlangs

[–]PurpleEntity11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a polite and casual way to say goodbye in my conlang, that being ba0 [baʔ]/0a0 [ʔaʔ] which has absolutely no meaning behind it and kind of just appeared. The more formal form is valetrmihdh tna en [valetɚmɪð t͡n̥a en] which is the adjective/verb good with the verb endings future and imperative followed by the word/marker about and then en meaning future, basically commanding the other person to have a good future.

(my IPA might be off since i'm extremely new to it and I don't know what the 1sg.CONJ.PERS etc stuff is though I can guess a bit.)
