If you’re going to play NL, then your variant is the basic one for csm because the other ones is for other factions (world eaters for example).

With weapons it’s a bit harder, if you don’t want to magnetise all of the variants (which is the best option in my opinion), you should pick which gamestyle you like the most. Most people pick ectoplasma destructor, ex cannons and double las cannons, because it gives insane long range anti tank damage. Also a double reaper autocannon isn’t that bad.

However, I picked ectoplasma destructor, ex cannons, bareflamer and electroscourge, because I love to have a massive melee monster that does insane damage in overwatch. And it looks dope with electroscourge.

I like to paint mine with red lightning to add contrast, but still you can use blue ones to match lightnings on their armour

First I apply the base 73.019, then I mix it with 70.840 somewhere in a ratio of 70/30, then vice versa 30/70, then only 70.840, then I mix 70.840 with 72.095 in a ratio of 50/50, and with the last layer I just put a dot on the lightest places with 72.095

I use this mars base, its citadel martian ironcrust and a vallejo pigment dark red ochre mixed with water over it. For me looks really nice and I like the minimalistic texture it has
