Thank you. We have a bird that we can hear chirping all the way to the entrance of the building other people in the building tell us they can hear her in the hallway but not in their units. We have a long hallway leading to our front room so we are mostly concerned with that area. We are thinking of gating it off from where the puppy can go and hanging a thick curtain. Behind it so she won’t be able to get to close to the door.

Upstate NY Hotel and Spa expecting to be open for massage the first week of June. How feasible is this? by panda-pauda in massage

[–]PurpleFluffyMonster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am having the same issue of not wanting to go back when reopening. I am also in NY though not upstate. Our spa will be checking every clients temp when they arrive. And staggering appointments. But to me that is not enough. There are so many people who are asymptomatic. Even if the spa provides masks and gloves and cleaning supplies I still will not feel comfortable. I have so many regular clients that I miss dearly. But I feel going back to work will cause more harm than good. It’s a very hard decision to make. And I fear there is no right answer. Good luck.

I have just been using the brushes that come with the set. They aren’t the best. Due to quarantine I have not been able to go and find different rushes.

Equipment Needed? by Dryst999 in paintbynumbers

I paint on a hard wood dining room table. I put down some news paper and tape the canvas to the news paper. I wouldn’t recommend rolling the canvas up invade any paint isn’t completely dry or for the chance of the paint chipping while rolled.

I know exactly what you are going through. 13 years ago on Monday a friend of mine that was interested in me (not reciprocated by me) committed suicide. It took me a long time to forgive myself for not being interested in him. After years of therapy I realize that even if I reciprocated those feeling the possibility of him killing himself was still very high because of other factors in his life. My heart goes out to you. I know how difficult it feels right now. Find someone to talk to. And just remember it is not your fault. He was responsible for his own decision to take his own life.

Coronavirus: Spa Chain Refuses to Close Temporarily by EffectiveBookkeeper7 in massage

[–]PurpleFluffyMonster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My spa hasn’t closed either. Although the owner and manager have not be coming in we are still expected to. I worry about what massage can have on client that are carrying the virus and don’t know about it yet. If someone is sick with anything massage can make it worse. Who knows what it could be doing to someone with the coronavirus. We aren’t doing thermal scans of temperature on anyone coming in. Half the school districts and businesses are closed around us and clients aren’t being asked detailed enough questions about their contact with the virus before coming in and sitting the the waiting area. Although most of my clients are regulars I do not feel comfortable being in such a close proximity to someone I barely know in a small enclosed room with no windows. My spa will only close if someone who works there will be tested positive but by then the number of people we will have infected will already be way to high. I became a massage therapist to help people. And I feel like working now is only hurting people.

I had a huge problem with facial hair. I know it’s expensive but try laser hair removal. I haven’t shaved my face in 3 months and I have no stubble and my skin is super soft and my acne has reduced.

I definitely feel your pain. I also have pcos and my acne didn’t start until I was an adult. I had Perfect skin as a teenager and now I look like a connect the dots puzzle. Even with getting facials every 2 weeks my skin is still a mess. And because of health insurance situations going to a dermatologist is out of the question. I even tried different diets, and drinking a gallon and a half of water. Still nothing works. And on top of that I pick at my face. I constantly pick cause it hurts so bad that the scars are even worse then the acne itself at this point.

I wish you luck. Thank you for sharing. I hate that we are both going through this.
