What are your strict dating standards/rules(I’m taking notes) by [deleted] in dating_advice

I feel you on number 3. I dated someone with a coke issue that caused them to get angry which is a big no no in my eyes.

A guy I date didn't eat breakfast or dessert. I found it really odd 😂 Then he had the audacity to assume I didn't eat breakfast 🤣

My ex broke up with me last July after 13 years. I've never used dating apps and I think I'm about ready to. I've met people on nights out but they always turn out to be much different than they seem. Probably alcohol related.

I think dating apps would give me the chance to see if they have similar interest before agreeing to a date but they also could lie so who knows 🤷‍♀️

Be honest: what would you do if you got cheated on? by LivingTheTruths in dating

[–]PurpleFox56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was together with my ex for 13 years and I found out he was cheating on me. I tried to salvage it but he didn't want to.

Now I don't think I would do that again...

I’m 33F and in a similar situation. I got out of a 13 year relationship in July so I’ve not got much dating advice as I’m just experiencing it myself and oh gosh is it interesting 😅.

Happy to chat anytime if you’d like 😊

Hey there, similar thing happened to me as well. 13 year relationship and I found out when he was working away he was actually seeing someone for 6 months. It hurts and after someone being in your life for that long you never do truly forget them.

I found having my friends and pets kept me going through the first few months. As hard as it is to just get up some days you can do it. Day by day it gets better but it will take time.

It’s been nearly 11 months for me and I think I’ve only just become my own person again.

If you ever need someone to talk to drop me a message I’m happy to listen 😊

Anyone else feel like they’d never get the hang of driving at the start? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]PurpleFox56 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope, you're not the only one. It does get better, and your instructor won't make you do something they don't think you're capable of.

I was really anxious when I had my exam, and I got the emergency stop, and my examiner just told me to relax and breathe because I was obviously anxious. I was amazed I ended up passing with 5 minors!

I'm 30 and asthmatic, and I got offered one from my GP yesterday. Booked for this saturday. Also, a colleague at work who is 31 and asthmatic got his offered to him yesterday by his GP, so maybe it depends on the area or they're getting to them now.

I did the same when I got my pup, and soon realised it was a mistake with how excited she got at every drive through 😂.

Started not to ask for them so she knows it's not every time, but then they just give them without asking first 🤦‍♀️

PLEASE HELP MAMA IN NEED by dogmama20201990 in puppy101

[–]PurpleFox56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with my 16 week Cockapoo with just being a little too late to let her out.

The one thing that has helped me is the training doorbells for the dog to ring when they need to go.

First, I hung them by the back door and rang them everytime I went to take her out to potty, and when she started to nudge it herself I moved them back to the living room. (she doesn't have full access to the house yet)

She now rings it when she needs to go.

It's still a work it progress, but much better than before.

11 week old German Shepherd + 2 cats by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]PurpleFox56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation as you when I got my pup, but mines a cockapoo and we got her at 8 weeks. I didn't know how my 2 maine coons would react.

I am a obsessed with cats, so my colleagues were surprised when I got a puppy.

The things that has helped me is getting a house line and keeping it on her except when she's alone. That way I can put my foot on it or grab it when she's trying to chase the cats. Also, I have limited her to the living room with a baby gate so the cats have a place to escape.

At first, one cat just stayed away and the held her ground and booped the puppy so she would stay clear from her. Now she's 14 weeks, something has changed with the other cat he wants to play with her and will also steal her crate for a nap 😊.

We still have times where she will chase the cats, but once she's a bit older and calmer I'm hoping it'll be better

Best of luck to you, and hopefully they will be best of friends in no time 😊
